While the Help section covers the very basics well, it does not cover these topics:

• secure tripcodes


• sage


• basic trollstopping skills

For new users of our BBS (the only ones who go to the help section!) knowing about these things would be extremely useful in reducing spam.

Check the test board, there's a thread on what not to use for tripcodes, and how to use them.

Check the Description + FAQ on our Main board for "sage".

Basic trolls topping skills; don't feed if at all possible. Let the moderators handle it, and if necessary, an administrator.

The Help tab is really for formatting your posts. Everything else is in its proper place for you to refer to.

Oh. I think OP means regular saging, meaning the users being able to sage. Unlike other image boards and text boards, like 4chan and whatever, the members can't sage.

Unless you're not asking about that kind of sage.

Normal members can bump other threads worth a damn to get the trolling thread off the front page, like the rest of us have done for over a year before moderators even existed here.

Dealing with trolls is simple - Try to refrain from feeding them. Once someone is identified as a troll, just don't post in that thread or respond to that person anymore if you can help it.

No matter what you say to them, it doesn't help. It keeps their shit bumped and it encourages them. You could be like Thiamor who perpetually wags an epeen at them using superior knowledge of how the internet works, and condescendingly informing them how stupid they are - But it doesn't help. At all.

No matter what is said, you're still saying something.

So the best course of action is to just ignore and go find threads worth a damn.

If I understand the op correctly, theyre asking for an update to the help section, to have the newer things that have been implemented recently to the site.
Why not just put a link to the FAQ there?

Pretty sure a fair number of people go to the About tab, because a lot of times in the past, whenever we were being mean to them or whatever, they always quotes the About tab. So yeah.
