What if we had a board for mature topics? Like... "My boyfriend wants to do it it me, but I don't know how! What do I do?" or something like that. 4chan has the 18+ section and so does DG.

Also, I know that somebody will eventually come up with the Porn thread, but if that happens, we can always make it permasaged, right?

I actually disagree, part of being a Dollar is knowing age does not matter and no matter if you're 12 or 40 you're both equal and have the same opprotunity and rights as each other, to create an 18+ board would completely change that. I understand why you want that kind of board but it shouldn't happen.

There's also a Love and Relationships Section suggestion and one for an Advice Section. Don't really know if they reached any kind of conclusion though.

Those threads are all discussion threads... what OP means is a place to put X-rated pictures/videos/porn...

If someone were to post porn in any of those threads I'd be disappointed in them...

The fact of the matter is, we try to avoid stuff like that, an 18+ section will hinder what we have going where 'everyone is allowed'... there would be no way to verify age, plus if I wanted to see porn, I have the rest of the internet to use. I don't come here to wank.

I know that isn't what he means, since he stated it in the original post... but thats what 18+ implies... People will disregard the board description, and continue posting porn, which will constantly have to be saged...

But I like >>3 and >>4 said, there are already mature threads in random, and hell, on main too. And since they are in those boards they have managed to inspire intelligent and well thought out responses and conversations. IF they were in a 18+ thread, they would get spammed with porn. :| Just saying...

Well, I don't know exactly this 18+ board thing functions on 4chan or DG, but ,yeah, it doesn't seem like the best idea here. Since we have people of all ages around, it would have to be restricted somehow and...how can it really not devolve into porn?

One of the few things Reltair asks us to keep our content safe for work, and I think an 18+ section would get abused and rightly go against those wishes.

Not the section itself, but the potential for misuse it has. If you really have those kinds of concerns or questions, as mentioned before, we do have advice/help threads around somewhere - And you can make a thread (in random) asking specifically for that type of advice.

Whether it gets taken seriously or not won't change, even if there was an 18+ section; so you'd get the same results.

Lol i like the idea but we should really just oblige the admins and stick to the FAQs guide. Just keep it easy on the 18+ topics and behaviors (for lack of a better term).

I'm against it. I really don't think you have to be necessarily 18+ for it, also, if you reaaaaly feel the urge to talk about it just do it with you're friends or something.
