I don't know how possible this is, as I only have a basic knowledge of web development, but would it be possible for an internal link to show the name of the thread it's pointing to automatically. 'Twould be most convenient.

Define "internal link."

If you're suggesting that the URL contain the thread title, I'd assume that would cause a lot of trouble in the case of similarly named threads... although, threads should never have the same name in the first place, otherwise they would be duplicated.

This is just how the site is programmed, it's unlikely it would be a simple thing to change.

Yeah, that is what I meant by internal link. But I don't mean that the title of the thread should be in the url title, I was just thinking it might be possible for the site code to pick up on a link to another thread, and generate a link like this one:

And I was wondering if the site could possibly pick up on that sort of thing. It already reads some HTML code, like what I used to generate the link I just typed.

Well, that would be convenient, but as you demonstrated, it's already entirely possible to do with normal HTML tags. If anything, it would be kind of inconvenient if things started getting automatically linked under situations where you want to show the URL. I mean, I'm sure it could be coded, if not without difficulty.

I wouldn't consider it worth the effort, though, unless there is an overwhelming demand for such minor convenience.
