Don't misinterpret the title, im not trying to say we should meld with the other dollar sites. What I am saying though is I think it'd be cool if on facebook, google+, or whatever other highly used social sites there are, if we could maybe make a thing on those, just so we could stay in contact with each other, e.g. for a meet-up, or if someones struggling with their life and wants guidance. I'm just thinking this would be a good idea because I personally check my facebook more times then id like to count throughout the day, while I only check the threads only once, maybe twice a day, and im sure im not the only one. So ya, just some food for thought, comments?

It's probably a good idea to connect with other members through other, more personal mediums than this site once you make acquaintances or decide to do things together. This site is great for meeting people and sharing a common ground, but not necessarily for personal interaction. Even the chatrooms are public, barring of course making a 2-person capacity room.
The Dollars site itself is the hub for information and public discussion as a whole. Several people have made dollars facebook groups and whatnot, but I think it would be better to just add individual members you know to your friends list, or find some other way to contact them on your own. Find other networking sites they're on, add them to IM, and such.

I don't see why we need to do this instead of just using their BBS/forums. It's not hard to post and lurk on two sites. Hell, I do it on multiple sites, not just this one.
