I keep getting asked this question lately which is understandable as I will be turning 18 this year and was expelled from school the year prior. But I really have no clue and even my friends have asked me things like "what are you interested in?", "oh you play games so do this..." and such things like "you're good at this *inserts subject* so do something like that" and I have pondered over these questions but really since all the drama with my family and such I just immersed myself in things like games as an escape for the past 5 years of my life and really have no interests or goals of my own. SO my question to you guys is how did/would you decide what you wanted to do?

Getting older gets rather difficult. Shit like this unfortunately happens. If you want my personal advice for when I was stuck in your situation; just do what feels right.
Now this will probably sound cliche, but when chosing a college/uni/school/whatever, ask yourself " does this seem like something I can wake up every morning and enjoy doing?" More often than not, when I ask people this when they tell me "what they want to do", the answer is no. And it makes them wonder and wonder.....
I don't know you, so I can't tell you that everything will work out fine, as sometimes budget doesnt permit, location either, and stuff like experience can be a big factor. But as much as you can, try not to limit yourself. Try to experience life as much as you can, without restraint. (this doesnt mean to put yourself in dangerous situations,,, )
Things like this will come to you with time. I've always thought that expecting us to know what to do at the young age of 18 when our brains arent actualy finished developing until we're 25 is absolutely bonkers.
You've got this, Sol. I believe in you. Try to enjoy life to the fullest if you can.
