Does anyone else ever get a really bad headache around the time of the full moon? Or just feel really sick in general? It happens to me all the time. 2 days before, the day of, and 2 days after. I get really cranky. And am just generally in a bad mood for the week. I've talked to my family doctor about it and they can't find anything wrong with me they think it's just a monthly cold or something. I've talked to my friends about it too and a couple of them say they get it too but idk if they're telling the truth or not. Does anyone else actually get lunar sick? I can't really be the only one right?

No but it is very common. Youre not the only one.

Hey, i really don't think there's anything actually wrong with you. I think it's either coincidental or it's some kind of placebo effect. You know like those people who think they're allergic to electromagnetic waves so they get headaches and that when a light is turned on or they're out in the sun. They just kinda make the symptoms real because they believe it enough which makes them believe it more. It's amazing what your mind can do to your body through just believing things. There's nothing that special about a full moon, it's just reflecting more light from the sun.

Also if your doctor says there's nothing wrong i would take his advice other than something you might find on the interwebs or from your mates unless you know they're actual doctors.

It actually makes sense, the moon has a HUGE effect on the water on this planet and we are mostly made up of water so there is an actual scientific theory that the full moon might have some effect on our physical bodies.

Hospital staff, bouncers and police all have tones of people who believe that the crazy people come out on a full moon (I know some bouncers who say there are way more fights on a full moon)

Maybe your body is particularly affected by the tidal effects caused by the phases of the moon.

Hope this helps

The moon only has an effect on the ocean because of it's mass. The large body of the moon creates a gravitational force which pulls the ocean towards it (Force = Gravitational constant * Mass1 * mass2 / (distance between masses)^2). The moon doesn't have some special effect on water or people.

its not uncommon dear, the moon affects very sensitive people. It may also make you feel happy depending on the phase of it (that happens to me) and as Gyroid said, it also affects some of us because of its mass

Dawg, you're a werewolf

Lol jk, but there is a scientific explanation behind it. Why do you think some crazy people go especially crazy during the full moon and are called "lunatics"? It's some effect the moon has on us, and it varies depending on the person...
