anonymous is technically a terrorist group but they operate differently then a group like ISIS. They are a hacker group who mainly focus on exposing and destroying evil. Now about joining them, you cant unless you have a specific skill set such as hacking or something else. if you want to be recruited i'm assuming you have to call out to them so they can find you and decide whether or not to let you in. but all of this is just what i know about them and i could be wrong, if you want more just google it.
