So, over the past few years I've really gotten into buying anime figurines/figures/statues (whatever you call them). I recently bought a really nice one, and like my others I took it out of the box to display it. My personal opinion is that if I'm going to buy a figure, then I want to take it out of the box. I know some avid collectors keep theirs in the boxes to keep them in mint condition. I don't plan on selling my figures at all, but I was wondering if it was better to keep them in the box or not.
BTW I clean and dust them (and my room) every week.

Well, if you're cleaning and dusting them then there shouldn't be a problem with it. My best friend has a bunch of figurines and she does the same thing and they all look great on her shelf. So if you're going to take the time to take care of them then you should definitely put them on display.

The only ones I'd say to keep in the box (from now on) are ones that you'd be devastated if something happened to them, just as a precautionary measure. =/
