Camp blue (1)

Hello dollars,

I'm writing this on my phone because I'm on the road. (No I'm not driving) I'm on my way home from a camping trip I've been on for the past week with my girlfriend. It's the longest we've ever been together and it was SOOO much fun. Her parents were there too but they gave us a lot of space. Anyway, the camp we went to is called "Camp Blue" and my girlfriend and her family have pretty much been going to this camp since before my gf was born! And they invited me! We enjoyed every second of it, and it was really important because my gf and I have been together for almost 2 years and we've never spent more than 3 days straight together. So going on a week long trip together was a big deal. And I'm happy to say it went great!

This camp is kinda prestigious if you ask me. It was about $800 for the cabin we ALL shared (as in my gf and her parents) and the activities and meals and all the perks. They had a hilarious skit-filled campfire every night, and the activities were divided into age groups of course. The youngest activities for the 6 and 7 year olds. My gf and I were in the teens group because were under 18 but over 15. One night we went to a teen swim at 10 pm with a bunch of other teens. It was awesome! Another night we went to a teen barbecue and ate burgers and say around a campfire with other teens. Also awesome! Now, here's what I'm posting this thread mainly about. Last night was the last night at the camp, and we were what's called "9th week campers" because each week gets new campers depending on which week you pay for. There's one more week after us, but summer is almost over and the camping week was almost over so you could tell all the teens were anxious for the week's "big finale." The big finale being a dance for only teens up until midnight on the edge of the camp. We got there, felt a little antisocial, nervous, but excited too! We eased into it and had a lot of fun. Up until somebody whipped out some drugs. Yep, drugs. Before we knew it everybody was falling down and acting like they had been drinking for 24 hours straight! Some boys almost started fighting and some girls almost face planted right in front of us. Others were climbing shit and taking their clothes off and it was just insane. I (growing up in a drug filled area around drug addicts and constantly violent alcoholics) spotted this right away. And I realized when and how they got the drugs into the dance and how they took them without being seen. Because I grew up in such a bad area it wasn't a good feeling being around that shit again in some place I was supposed to be having fun. It was scary growing up around that stuff. I've lost loved ones to drugs and alcohol. So I told my girlfriend what I had noticed and we went outside. I told her to wait by the campfire with the staffers (the staffers are the camp adults that watch over everything at the camp, so I guess you could call them camp counselor's or just the "adults" present at camp) she stayed with the staffers and I went back inside and got a friend we had made at the camp. His name is Riley. I'm only saying his name because I hate him now, and you'll see why in a second. I asked him "what's going on?" And he said "look if somebody is handing out shit it's not my problem." And he fucking walked away. I went back to my gf and told her I thought we should go back to the cabin and she said she wanted go ASAP. So we go to the main road, which is about a half mile long through pure darkness and forest and 90% of which is away from any civilization. So we would be completely alone and isolated. As soon as we got to the road there were these 3 large boys who shone a flashlight right in our eyes and said "goin home girls?" And this guys words were REALLY slurred. I swear to GOD it was something straight from a horror movie before somebody gets raped. I grabbed my gf and said "nope." And we went back to the campfire with the adults. I spent about 10 minutes weighing all my options. We couldn't call somebody to come and get us because we were in the mountains, no cell reception, low battery, and nobody to call. My gf's parents only brought the dad's phone and they were out at some adult gathering and ALWAYS leave the phone in the cabin. So I decided to ask Riley again what he thought was happening, because our only option was to walk back in the dark. I wanted to weigh how drastic the situation was. As we went back inside to get him we saw some more crazy shut. Shirtless guys humping chicks and men hanging off these support beams on the ceiling. I grabbed Riley we went outside and I asked "WHAT is happening, WHAT DID THEY TAKE." And he just said "I'm not giving names. This isn't my fucking problem." Then he walked away. So I decided, to get home, we had to do the drastic. My gf and I went over to the staffers and told them everything. I explained everything to them, but I felt like ratting Riley out was a bitch move so I kept that to myself. My gf and I FINALLY got walked home by 2 staffers with flashlights. But what I told them was only supported by the fact we ran into a lot of teens from the dance who were either fall-over drunk or on some kind of drug. Either way, we got back to the cabin, safely, and my gf was so scared by the whole ordeal she wanted cuddle even though her were sleeping in the same cabin barely 5 feet from us. Sooo we climbed into my sleeping bag and groped and cuddled for about a half hour.

It was a good ending to a fucking crazy night.

So dollars, thought, opinions, any personal stories are welcome. Id love to know if anybody here has experienced anything similar to this or has heard about anything similar.
