Me and my girl have been going out for two years now and I love her very much. We both have a lot of things in common and one of the thing we like most is anime, and usually relationships like these don't have any secrets at this point considering the amount of time spent together, but in this case I found out something I didn't want to...It turns out my girl is a grazed fan of Yaoi which I don't feel comfortable with. We were at her place and she went to go get something to eat down stairs and I didn't just want to sit there until she came back so when I saw the shelf of manga books I looked through them. At the very bottom was a row of Yaoi books inside a sort of container like in death note where light pretended to look at porn books and he hid them in a book container of some sort with some other ones. I was a bit surprised, when I heard her coming back up I pretended like I didn't see anything. Because of the shock I been avoiding her lately but I love her too much to let her go because of something I don't like though I'm still bothered by it. I'm not trying to hate on yaoi or anything like that because I have a friend just like that bestfriend even but I just don't know how to deal with this kind of situation.

I don't think it matters really. My lovely one is a huge fan of yaoi, and also an 18+ fanfic author. She wants me to help her finish one of them. I don't seem to mind, alot of girls enjoy Yaoi so its only natural.

I wouldn't really care much about a yaoi fetish/addiction... My girlfriend has one too. Just ignore it, or bring it up in conversation. It may give you something interesting to talk about XD

Its simply what it is, she may just find them interesting, I mean some hentai and stuff has real, actuarlly good stories. but even if it is a fettish thing, it might just be her, Love and accept every part of that :D
