Okay. Im a total romantic person. I love to fangirl and all, but i have a horrible problem that i just hate. I can't tell if i really really like a person or just think he's cute. Can someone help? Im pretty sure its not actual love, because its different that what I think love is according to God, but its really hard to understand.

So you're trying to figure out true love from true lust? I see you're.....in the same predicament as me, BUT, I think I may have 'the stuff' to help you out. ;o
1. Did you set out dating boundaries already? I mean, boundaries such as what you are willing to do with your 'love' or not willing to do?
2. Did you put out what you're looking for in a guy other than just looks? Does he fit those requirements?
3. Is he Christian? Just because I have a feeling you're Christian, so that's my question to you. :D
4. If he was the ugliest shibeep on the planet, would you still like him because of his personality? Values? Hobbies?
5. You should listen to some of these, preferably the ones about dating (the ones in April? o-o) This pastor does really good on talking to both guys and girls about dating, and what nawt. He goes about with the gist of things, and it's a duo tihng, so he's preachin with his waifu in this series.

i personally believe religion shouldnt have anything to do with love if your christian mormon pagan or whatever if you love them you love them end of story

Thanks so far you guys. (btw, the part about God's definition of love is that you don't really know what love is till you know how much God loves you. Ik, this is prob really annoying to you atheist out there). @Kaori #4 is really hard, since i have the weirdest definition of cute and I'm not picky (:P). A lot of guys are super awesome and nice and cute AND Christian at the same time, which drives me nuts.

Hey Lydia! I kinda tend to do the same fangirl thing, but I honestly think you will just know when it is actual love. You know when there are two people dating each other and they are just like "Oh my God, I love them so much!" <--- No. Not love, from all that I have experienced. I have to say that, when I like someone, I start noticing the littelest things they do, I smile more, and I get this feeling of anxiousness kind of in my stomach. That's how I can tell I like someone. For you, I mean, I understand you aren't picky and all, but if you have a good connection with this person you think you may like, like a best friend kind of friendship, then I would say, yes, you like them.

Maybe this will sound cliche and too much for a real love but I think that real love is:
1. When you be yourself around that person, no matter how stupid or weird you may be.
2. When that person have problems, no matter how stupid, small, big, or complicated you'll try your best to help.
3. When you smiled just because that person is smiling and happy although you had a crappy day.
4. When you haven't seen that person in a day or at usual time and worried his/her condition.
5. When that person is depressed and you tried your best to comfort even if you're no good at it.
6. When you prioritize their happiness before yourself.
7. etc. (I think you got the point already)
Sometimes who we really and love most is ourselves, then our family, best friends, girl/boyfriends, etc.
Oh, and to know it's really true love (100%) is when you lost that person and can't stop grieving for months, even years, and that person is irreplaceable while you kept reminiscence him/her. Back to my belief~, "We won't know how precious something really is before we lose it."
