Well overstaying in the country and not telling any1 about it, and getting benefits is illegal tho. even if people are did nothing criminal it still is- and people must be held accountable. Best way for illegal immigrants to not have problems in ANY country- is to do everything legally. Simple like that. Legal immigrants have absolute zero problems and are not getting arrested. How do I know? Coz I'm legal- even if you don't have American citizenship, have proper visa stamps in the passport, registration, and other things. getting a permanent residence permit is easy if you lived in US for three to five years. Most just don't do it coz they don't wanna pay fines, never did visa-runs to stay legally and not pay fines, didn't pay taxes properly, yada-yada.
Soooo... no? No1 needs to take action. I don't mind trying to help people become actual citizens, and have everything done right legally. And I won't be calling police on some random illegal immigrants, if they behave like normal humans.
And it does not start with one group and jumps to another. There are illegal immigration problems all over the worlds right now. And they should be addressed, coz even tho in my mind the world belongs to people, and people should be able to choose where they would wanna live, with how economy works, workplaces, salaries, rent prices and all- everything should be legally made, and accounted for. No country and it's regular citizens should be paying more and more coz millions of people across the globe didn't like how they lived in their country, and decided to live here now just like they lived there in the country of their origin. And people should assimilate. Learn the countries language, history, ways of life.
Maybe I'm don't live in the US, but imagine me, white man, that lives rn in the middle east- if I came here illegally, spoke only my language, acted like i don't care about learning their language, ignored traditions here- people would think I should not be here as well. And it's fine.
About inhumane conditions, solitary confinements- happens, yes. but idk what you expected when you break the laws. these bad conditions are made so people are taught a lesson: "Do everything legally, don't break laws, be nice". also it's cheap. tax payers can't afford to pay more so the governments have to build good conditions for random people. and you know what happens when you just give people a warning, and let them be, when people asked to show up to court, police for processing? they never show up again and vanish, while continuing to live like they used to.
Most problems people get- is the cause of their own doing. and yes, most people are dumb, naive, and uneducated in these things. but asking for help to understand something, get everything done right- will never get them in trouble. I as legal immigrant lived with illegal immigrants- most of the times they reacted to me warning them like: "Oh ok, well, if I will have to pay the fine when I'm leaving the country, and will just stay in the country the most amount f time I can, and pay the fine when I'm leaving". And when I ask about- what they gonna do about the passports, what if policies change, what if they get stopped by police on the street? do they care if the family giving them apartment for rent will get in trouble coz they have no rent documents? Do they think they will get away with not paying taxes freely, coz they were able to evade them for 3 years? Do you care if the lad that gave you a job gets in trouble? Most answers were: "idc", "it will be fine", "I will be solving the problem when it will appear". And when people act this way- all I can do is to shrug my shoulders. I'm sure it's the same way in US.
If you have friends, family members that are illegal immigrants, best you can do is to make everything possible to make them legal. Help them with the documents, find info on what papers they need, on what conditions they can get visas or permits, and on. It's not as hard as it sounds and looks. If you are yourself legal or citizen and want not to endanger them- you can go to police passport department yourself and ask questions there as well if your illegal friend/family member is at risk. also you can help them to pay the fines/taxes. About "Give advise people on their rights"- yes you can if people are legal, if they are illegal tho, in most countries they have little to no rights, especially if they have no papers. maybe basic rights "to exist" so to say. and its not coz evil laws, presidents, etc- its coz they, the illegal immigrants, did it themselves. they don't exist on paper, all known information about them is: Name, Second Name, date of birth, country of origin, possibly old passport number, possibly old photo. And its if they entered legally via border control. If they did not- nothing might be known at all. Might get known if they used emergency rooms, but not 100%. Without anything known about you- nearly no1 and anything can't provide you anything aside from basic needs. And it is fine. Most countries on the west fully operate on trust. You need credentials and proves that you can be trusted to get a loan for money, cars. Like will you lend 100k to some1 you don't know? The problems illegal immigrants have- yet again is their own doing in most cases. Some ofc have special circumstances, like maybe war going on, or whatever, like I fled the war. But I still did everything legally. Yes it was hard, yes I had to do a lot of work. yes I've spend months and months with papers. But this is what every normal human does when he indeed wants to be accepted into the society. If you just fleeing the war, but plan to return back- you just ask for shelter, you live in the country till the threat is over, and no matter what- return back.. unless you got married or decided to get perm-residence while you live there. Problem is- nearly no1 does that. they don't care about any1 and anything but themselves, and still neglect their own life saying "later, somehow, somewhere I will do it". So don't waste your life on people that don't care about themselves even, that just want a "better life" without doing anything. This is my advice. Help those who indeed needs it and wants it.
