Obscure in my books would be bands/artists like El Silver Cabs, Golgothan Remains, The Rochambros, COMPUTER JESUS REFRIGERATOR, suppressant, or BLIGHT WORMS — they've all got less than 300 listeners, and on average about 2,000 plays.

Elephant Gym. Taiwanese indie, mathy pop group. Their song Intro off of Angle sounds like it comes right out of a slice of life show, and is infectiously happy.
