This is a thread dedicated to sharing either your experinces from your favourite/most memorable live perfomances or linking a video of it.

This idea came about whilst watching this set by Grimes in the KEXP studio. You can watch it here

This set is from Denmarks, causa Sui, an instrumental psychedlic rock band consisting of one guitarist, a bassist, drummer and keys player.
For fans of Pink Floyd, The Doors ect as well as blues rock artists
Here is a link the the setlist, the description has a track listing and I suggest listening to either Red valley or Ju-Ju Blues

Definitely this. Silverstein's opening song. You can hear me overpowering the vocalist for the first 10 seconds, haha. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mARAnstGPwM

Om - Live At Amoeba Records

Absolutely incredible performance, Al plays perfectly and looks like hes tripping really heavily at one point which is funny. Some of the best sounding drums I've ever heard (sound wise) live

Here's a gig I was at at. Melbourne "astral space core" act Alithia at the Evelyn Hotel.

If yu're into prog metal, check out their shit. This is more of a hateful rant, though.

The dude who filmed this, along with that other jackass with the camera, were my biggest problem with this night, becausw they almost literally took every opportunity to obscure my view. See thay bit where the guitarist starts spazzing out on the floor? Watching this video was my first time seeing that because those two fucks were both bent over him with their cameras, evidently trying to catch his O face so that later they could jack each other over their eventual accruement internet points - all at the expense of other fucking concert goers.

Seriously, it's like they took every opportunity to stand in front of me, and I am not a tall man. If you're gonna film a concert, use your phone and stand still, don't fucking run around with your huge Nikon cameras. You can even see that other dude dancing like an asshole in some of this - he literally took a place 2 inches from me and pushed me back with that shit. It wasn't a packed venue, he was just being a dicm.

Anyway I wish them both a horrific death, preferrably involving knives being forcibly inserted into every orifice.

Great show, though. I never thought such a spacey band would ever be so energetic.

^since I made this post, I've actually met one of those dudes I ranting about multiple times. He's actually a pretty great guy. Fun times were had. I was just salty when I wrote the above post.

Anyway, I went to see Alithia again tonight, this time supporting Dead Letter Circus. But no, I did not see Dead Letter Circus tonight. I went solely for the support acts.

Stated for Alithia, a hard rock band called Sydonian, and one of my favourite discoveries of the year, Caligula's Horse.

Alithia was great, but their set was far too short. They barelt got three songs in. The real star of tonight was Caligula's Horse. They go a decent 50 minute set, and judging by the crowd there were more than a few other people who were thereto see them more than anything else. Good setlist, although revrettably they didn't play Dragonfly.

But tonight was a lot of fun anyway.

Looks like I'll be posting here everytime I see Alithia.
Well, most times anyway.

I went to Progfest on Saturday. Highlights were a couple of my local favourites Alithia and Bear the Mammoth, along with Enlight, Adelaide prog-death band Dyssidia, then a couple of my absolute legends Caligula's Horse and We Lost the Sea.

Speaking of whom, my back's in one of their photos.
