I was just wondering what you, dollars, think about music nowadays. I mean,do you like what music is like nowadays (musicians attempts, commercial music, autotune dependant 'artists', etc.)? Or do you prefer true bands? Those with instruments and real voices, passionate musicians that really want to spread their sound and achieve a dream...
I'd really like to know your opinion!

I like the bands, real musicians and less autotune than normal (most everyone uses a little) but i am huge into EDM too. not much for todays pop. too saturated in business to be truthful.

I .. hate it xd I like 70's, 80's 90's music. And jazz is fine. I mean... ok, rock may be ok, and music ith good text. But this... things in most radio stations? terrible

I feel like the "surface layer" of music, the big name stuff like Taylor Swift and all that is pretty crappy. But, it's not hard to find good modern day music. Alternative music has a great community, and is very good in my opinion.

there are people who still produce good songs,but you will nott find those songs on mainstream programs like mtv,to find good songs yiu just have to find the rigth place,look at b real, for example he still produces good hip hop songs

It's true there are still some good music being produced but I think music has really changed. To be honest, I really prefer real voices alone with instruments and passionate musicians.

Honestly there's no such thing as "good" and "bad" music because the medium is completely subjective. To one person, Katy Perry might be the best singer in the world. To another, she might be the worst. And honestly, I've never understood how much hostility people get over it in the first place. It's literally just different sounds.

I was gonna rip this thread a new one, but I sat on it for a while so I'm gonna approach it a bit like this; You're entitled to your opinion about today's music but I think it's completely wrong and based in musical ignorance.
Your first mistake was saying "autotune dependant" What is this 2006?
Auto-tune was popular in the mid to late 2000s and is hardly used in todays music.
This proves that you have no idea of what your talking about and going off on a tangent you clearly have no knowledge of. You already have others users stating that if you look though the surface, you'll find amazing gems produced nowadays. But you have clearly failed to do even that because of the reason I already explained.

Secondly what the fuck makes a true band!? Rock bands have been utilizing electronic music and production since forever,(Dio from the 1980s, is the first band that comes to mind.) So I don't know what your talking about, and at this rate I'm fully convinced you're talking out of your ass.

Music is fucking evolving at a rapid pace. You can either keep up or sit the fuck down.
Or at least have some knowledge of the shit you're talking about, because, if you're going up against me, yata, or any of my homies on here who are versed in this shit, you'll fucking lose every time.

Every generation has/had both good and bad music. You think nowaday music is shit because there are "no true artists" anymore? Well, sad for you, I'll be dancing them all in the club and I'll have a hell lot of fun with them, auto tuned or not. I don't believe music is suposed to be some sort of holy thing that only "true artists" can make. Different types of musics makes me feel different sensations and I must say, I listen to almost every music style (from an old jazz to reggae, from metal to brazilian funk), and don't keep judgjing if they are "true music" or not, I just enjoy the songs I like and let other people do the same.
