Band Shipping (11)

So guys. I looked through the first hundred or so posts in here, and saw nothing directly relating to this, so I thought I'd start it. As the title implies, this thread was made for the sole purpose of collaborations or band line-ups you would absolutely LOVE to see.

I suppose I'll start.

Aaron Kitcher (drummer for Infant Annihilator) with Sebastian Briel (guitar for Awaiting the Autopsy) and vocals by Sean Harmanis (Make Them Suffer), and maybe Jason Netherton (bass, Dying Fetus). I think that would be some of the most amazing sounds in the world.

Gorillaz x Deep Puddle Dynamics x The RZA would be ridiculous too.

Your turn!

Imma give this a go

Band shipping doesnt need to really be done for me because the Big 4 have already jammed before and 'super groups' like Manpig already exist.

Although if Taylor (Daylight), Ben Russin (Title Fight), Barry Johnson (Joyce Manor) and Robert Merkoff (Cloakroom) combined their music superpowers to make a super super modern emo type band that would be rad. They would be called H. Caulfield

Also, Rob Flynn (Machine Head), Matt Heafy (Trivium), Tom Araya (Slayer) and Chris Ulsch (Power Trip) could make a mind bogglingly good new school thrash metal band (even though Power Trip are already this). Imagine those dual lead guitars from Matt and Rob. Tom Araya shouting with the mighty Heafy and Flynn as back ups, a chilling thought. They would be called something like Church Burner or Distress

Also Also, if it were the 80's and these guys and girls were still taking drugs; Debbie Harry (Blondie), Robert Smith (The Cure), Peter Hook (Joy Division, New Order), Johnny Marr (The Smiths) and Bill Ward (Black Sabbath (I say this because although he doesnt fit in with the others he is a brilliant drummer and I think he could pull off being in a post-ounk/new wave outfit)). They would be called The Crooks

Thats all for now but this thread seems fun

>>2 Thanks for joining :D I'm not much of a fan of those mentioned, but all together would definitely catch my attention...

So yeah, the lyrical genius and lion throat of Dustin Kensrue (Thrice), the tapping virtuosity of Tim Collis (TTNG, guitar), the reverberated backing guitar of The Edge (U2), the in-your-face funk of Jun Izawa (LITE, bass), and the groovy tactical endless V-neckocity of Matt Halpern (Periphery, drums/percussion) together in the same room would be amazing.

Additional studio musicians being pianists Atsushi Kiyota and Daisuke Niitome (Mouse on the Keys), violinist Mikiko Narui (sgt.), and whoever was on Godspeed You! Black Emperor's string section circa Slow Riot For New Zero Kanada.

You don't just name something this great.

Tom Morello x Flea x Matt Chamberlain

This is magnificent enough as is even without vocals. To be honest, I think vocals would mar the essential beauty of this line-up.

Makes me drool just thinking about it.

Call me crazy, but I'd love see what would happen if Billy Corgan, Thom Yorke, Neige (Alcest), Lol Tolhurst (The Cure) and... Varg Vikernes all somehow got into a room together.

Seriously though, Matt Heafy (of Trivium), Rob Flynn (Machine Head), Brann Dailor (Mastodon) and... I dunno, some bassist. I don't know if we'd get thrash, sludge, death, or whatever, but it would undoubtedly be fucking insane.

>>7 Dude... I would love to hear that

Good thread Ao.
+5

I've thought about this a lot because there are a few super bands that actually turned out great (read: Monsters of Folk)

So keeping in spirit of that kind of music.

I'd like to hear what John Darnielle, Will Sheff, and Colin Meloy would be like making a few tracks together.

Any other songs would just

>>7 I think Varg would kill them all, record it, and release the best Burzum album ever made.

What if Soundgarden x Foo Fighters x Chili Peppers or any combination thereof

11 Name: Ao!I94GMMnlgM : 2014-04-10 07:16 ID:YCnKaYGz [Del]

Phil Bozeman x Lucas Mann x Joel Omans x Aaron Kitcher

The technicality is strong with this one
