Metallica can be awesome on occasion. Master of Puppets, while incredibly overrated, is a pretty cool album if you listen to it sparingly, but in full, and Kill 'em All has its moments. It was actually one of the first CD's that I ever bought with my own money. Ride the Lightning has Fade to Black.
Not really a fan of The Black Album onwards, but The Unforgiven (1) is an okay song. I also listen to Lulu sometimes just for shits and giggles.

I find it hard to believe that there was no Metallica thread on here before this. Shame it consists of only a title and a one sentence "description" that tells us to refer to the title.

Metallica are one of the greatest/most influential bands to grace heavy metal. Without them, I don't even know where metal and even rock music would be today. (Rock is dead)

Anyways, on the serious, I could never get into Metallica. All of my friends liked them but I just couldn't see what the big deal about them was.
Their music bores me.

Im a fan of their 1998-1999 S&M With the San Francisco Symphony. Im both a classical and metal fan, this was just the perfect blend.

Only enjoy early Metallica. Definitely not a Metallicat (yup, that's a thing).
