What are the ways you can play music without an instrument? (11)

I play the piano, a bit of guitar, and, like most people, I sing. However, when I have no access to either instruments and find it inadequate to sing, I get really anxious. Music is something i need at almost all times to control and calm myself, it helps me stay relaxed. I sometimes just play it in my head, but that's not concrete enough to satisfy or have any effects. Does anyone here know a way to hear or create music anywhere, without the need on an instrument?

>>1 I may not be talking about what you exactly mean, but I have a huge talent for doing this kind of thing. I've been a band nerd for the longest time, so it comes natural. Whistling is by far the easiest way. When you whistle, you'll find it extremely easy to match pitches. This may seem like I'm babying you, but it's still useful info. There's always beatboxing, tapping your fingers, or you can even make a song based off your bodily movements.

Use books, desks, walls, ect. as drums and work out some fresh beats.

Sorry, I don't think I made it very clear... I mean, "playing" music, but except not. Not actually creating music in real life, but imagining it concretely...
Sorry, it's really abstract and I might not even know what I'm asking for. But it still would be great if I found out how.

So do you mean like a "getting it stuck in your head on purpose" sort of thing?
If so, just listen to stuff a lot and memorize how it goes.

It's more complex than that ._. It's really hard to explain though, so never mind.

>>6 You know, sometimes if I have no access to music, if I just imagine it, I can kinda get into it enough until I can almost hear it... is that what you meant?

>>1 Is it more like a "hearing it in your head" kind of deal?

Well if you wanted a stupid answer I could say you would be able to play music using an Mp3 player if you don't have an instrument. All trolling aside.

Do you mean when you create music in your head but don't actually write it and plan it out in real life? Like improvisation in your head?

Since I noticed people actually replied to this, I'll bump it because this is still troubling me. Pretty much what >>7 >>8 >>9 said, I wanted to imagine it but in a way that it feels as if I were actually listening it. Preferably improvised. I have trouble doing that in my head, while I can easily do it with a piano per example.
