okay i have had an electric guitar for a while now but havent played it because i play my bass guitar more then i finally picked it up to try and play it but im what you call a noob at the electric guitar so any good rock songs i can play as a starter other than smoke on the water

I play both and if your a beginner then start with Green Day. They are sooooooo easy to play! On the electric is very fast though so youll need pracitce. But if your not a beginner then Linkin Park and Slitnot and Hollywood Undead....i can go on.

This is honestly the first song I ever learned how to play. Has a pretty good blend of skill across the song. Not super hard but enough to be interesting. The scale/arpeggios around 0:45 is really fun to play and helped me clean up my picking.

Not sure how you feel about metal covers a video game songs, but it's where I started. If you'd like a tab, I have a pretty good one I can send your way.
