Coldplay is a British Alt/Pop rock band formed in 1996. The band actually became Coldplay in '98.

The band consists of Singer/Lead Vocalist Chris Martin, Lead Guitarist Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman on Bass, and Will Champion on Drums. Their main albums are Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head, X&Y, Viva la Vida (or Death and All His Friends), and their most recent album, Mylo Xyloto.

Their music....well.....It's just amazing. The lyrics, the melodies, the BASS, and everything else. I especially love Viva la Vida. The entire album is just fabulous.

From Wikipedia: "Coldplay's frontman Chris Martin once proclaimed the band's music as "limestone rock" in comparison to "hard rock". The band's music has been called "meditative" and "blue romantic"; it "[reflects] on their emotions" and Martin "endlessly examine[s] his feelings".

Not a huge Coldplay fan, but I don't mind em every once and a while. The only album I have from them is Parachutes, which is worth a spin every so often.

Four out of five hearts. When I saw this, I hoped that Yata made it. When I say it wasn't, I wish Yata made it. When I saw the thread, I was happy. I may think that it's not better than Yata's, but it's not a crappy thread like most here. My only complaint is that Yata's is more informative, but this could easily win the battle if you duped a crappy thread with it.

I like how Coldplay writes happy songs and sad songs too /o/, they're a rather versatile band. My favorite at the moment would be... Trouble. Next favorite is probably Charlie Brown. It's been stuck in my head for a week now.

Coldplay became my favorite band after hearing the song Viva la Vida. Best song ever~!

Viva la Vida seems to be the most favorite it seems...I like it too.

My favorite songs are probably Don't Panic, Everything's Not Lost, and Violet Hill.

My favorite songs by them are Don't Panic, Fix You, Parachutes, and Yellow. :3

Coldplay kinda snuck up o me as one of my top three favorite bands. i just kept listening to more of their music and loving it, and i know quite a bit and love what i do know. i like viva la vida quite a but as well, but lately my favorite has been White Shadows off of their X and Y album.
