Kagerou Project is a series of songs and PVs created by Shizennoteki-P or JIN using the Vocaloid Software. The first album of the series is called MekakucityDays and revolves around the Mekakushi-dan, a group of teenagers who are mysteriously connected to each other in rather confusing ways.

The most well-known title of is Kagerou Days or Heat-Haze Days (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBnAY4VH9T4) and is the center of the series.

There has been endless speculation amongst the fans about the characters and their stories due to the lack of information provided by both the lyrics of the songs and the PVs. A new album is to be released this upcoming August 15th which is believed to lighten up some of the aspects of the whole series.
Even though this is getting more and more popular there aren’t many fans so I was wondering if anyone here knows this project or has any personal theories and ideas regarding the characters or the story itself. What do you think?

I was first hooked Souzou Forrest and then Heat Haze Days' story got me interested in the whole project.

I've already read the manga, it's pretty much Shintaro and Ene's story together until they meet the Mekakushi-dan members for now.

I can't wait to read the next chapter!! >w< I've only found the scanlation in chinese but I can't understand it.. T^T

YAY JIN! I've come up with only 2 theories, one for Imagination Forest, and another for Kagerou Days. I'm kinda hazy on the entire thing since I haven't investigated the other songs. I would post my theories and try to explain them as best I can, but I just don't seem to have the proper wording. It's also confusing, since you'd need to examine both the PV's and lyrics closely.

Overall, I love Jin's music. Every song I listen to by them, I just get hooked and can't stop listening. Like Kagerou Days. I was very entranced by it, entranced to the point where I scanned the internet looking for all possible clues and information regarding the story it told.

I subbed Transparent Answer! It's on YouTube. It was quite fun to sub. I really like the song.
I love Jin's musical style and I think he's a sort of master at using IA.

Yobanashi deceive blew my mind, new favorite song wow(although it's to be expected since Kano is my favorite)

Yobanashi Deceive was AMAZING! It also sheds a little more on Kano's back story. I guess Azami is supposedly that "Monster" or "voice" that told him to keep lying. Either that, or he's schizophrenic. Kano imitating Kido is also pretty adorable. It fits too, since their names kinda match.

OMYFREAKINGOSH I LOVE THE KAGEROU PROJECT IM SO GLAD TO SEE THERE ARE SO MANY OTHERS WHO DO TOO! the rumor is that there's an anime in the works, but there's no for sure release date. but i heard childen record was made for the purpose of being the opening theme for it. but im not sure if that's all acurate so don't believe everything for sure. but i REALLY HOPE that that is true!! my favorite song of all of them is kagerou days. teehee going with the original! i love all the characters! all the boys are so gawgeous (OMG I LOVE YOU KANO AND SHINATARO!!!!!!!)and i just love the theme it has with sight and seeing. they all have some super eye special power. i know they have a manga for the kagerou project too! it's super amazing and interesting but they either haven't published more or haven't translated more volumes in english, theres only one volume out thats currently been released online in english, im not sure how many volumes are out in japan in general though (i searched the kagerou days wikia and everything, but i couldn't find it for some reason.) oh yeah i like spend my LIFE on the kagerou days wiki site! Btw, I want to discuss about the newest song "Ayano's Happiness Theory". I believe that in the song, she is singing about how she spends all her time giving others happiness that she leaves none for herself. Also when she founds out what her father was doing, she uses her eye ability to protect Kido, Kano, and Seto from those scientists by concealing their presences. She probably suicides because she doesn't want to be apart of the experiments.(<-- Just my theory about the song.)

I have watched "ayano's happiness theory"and it was sad story.But in her story Ayano became a big sister for Kido,Seto,and Kano.But because of her mother died and everything became a mad.When se saw her father working,she saw her father work.The tragedy that happened is haruka and takane became their test subject,So Ayano hide it all and became a secret that everybody don't know.And my theory why Ayano killed her self because she can't take it anymore.

O_O oh dear, I finally found a thread like this XD Anyone care to explain what 'bump' is? Ah, well, just wanted to also say that there's a manga (and an anime, I think...) of this. On the manga there is only currently 12 chapters and it's ongoing :3 I love the series, and the songs are good as well.
