I've been downloading songs via Frostwire..but sometimes I'm having a hard time opening the applications because of some technical complications on my laptop (which I'm not sure the real reason). I initially used Limewire. But since it's now gone, there's no easier app where I can download free songs. I've tried to use iMesh but it has limited songs; I've tried Blubster but I can't download any songs; Bearshare but likewise I can't download any songs..so I'm here to ask for any suggestions for music download preferably similar to Frostwire..

You could use Any DVD Converter and get your links off Youtube.... That's what I do.

Or you can cut out the software part entirely.

Or you can take a youtube video link like this:

"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjJ12GCx4Yw&feature=g-vrec"

And change it so it reads like this:

"http://www.listentoyoutube.com/watch?v=YjJ12GCx4Yw&feature=g-vrec"

And that will take you directly to the download setup for that song.

Basically, this site rips the audio from the video, so you get an MP3 from it. It doesn't work on every song ever, but it gets most of them just fine. If you have an issue, there are other sites that do the exact same thing, and it may work for them instead.

A variation on >>3 is using "http://www.snipmp3.com/". All you do for this is copy and paste the url of any youtube video and it'll let you extract the audio into mp3 format.
