I can't believe no one has done this yet! Gorillaz is my favorite English speaking band. Most of my favorite bands are all asian, but Gorillaz is the shit!

I absolutely love the Gorillaz! Plastic Beach was the first album that I listened through the entire way! In my book, they are great!!!!!!!

Demon Days is my all time favorite album. Gorillaz is my all time favorite band. I have the delux edition of Plastic Beach, with a making of Dvd and commentary and stuff, so yeah.

They make a nice mix of music. Clint Eastwood tells that if you see corruption and you let corruption take over you, you would lose everything.

All time favorite band. Demon Days is their best, as well as my favorite album of all time. Their self-titled is a close second. I feel they dropped the ball on a couple of the Plastic Beach tracks.

Honestly, part of what makes the band amazing is that even their B-side compilations are really good. Its too bad the Rhinestone Eyes video lost funding.... oh well. The album "The Fall" more than makes up for it.

The Gorillaz have not broken up but they are on a hiatus. Jamie Hewlett had an interview with The Independent and said that "Run its course for now, it doesn't mean it's packed away for good", although a future collaboration with Albarn would be something "completely different."

I grew up on Demon Days man, these guys kicked ass. I like how they adopted a more pop feel without going full pop or full rock. Best blur band ever in my opinion, except for the band Blur themselves. 2D was one of my favorites.

The only thing I don't like about the characters is even though Murdoc is satanic, he wears an inverted cross (the one St. Peter was crucified on, for he considered himself unworthy of being crucified as Jesus had) instead of the cross I'm fairly certain is the proper cross, and can many kinds can be seen here: http://www.angelfire.com/planet/cossatanix/

Clint Eastwood was one of those childhood songs that I ended up seeking out purely for the feels. I basically went on a Gorillaz video marathon after that, and soon, I checked out their first album.

I wasn't impressed, though. I dunno, but aside from Clint Eastwood, and a few other select tracks, the album seemed kinda bland to me. Kinda catchy, pleasant, but uninteresting. Basically the kind of music that I'd do homework to.

I haven't heard Demon Days yet, but one of my friends has a copy that he doesn't want anymore, and he's letting me have it. This doesn't really have anything to do with me hearing the music, but it will soon be part of my CD collection and I find that thought awesome.

But anyway, I really want to love this band, so I really hope the album wows me, at least to some degree.

Also I plan to read their book - as soon as I can locate a hard copy.

Anyone who's really into Gorillaz should also check out Blur's Thinl Tank. It's not quite the same, but as close as you'll get from any other band.

Also it should inspire ypu to check out some of their back catalogue, some of which is absolutely amazing.

Are the Gorillaz done or is there still plans for them in the future? Does anyone know for sure? They are a great band, Id hate to see them go.
