Any of you guys into the Post-Hardcore scene at all? (i.e. Attack Attack!, Asking Alexandria, Woe Is Me)

2 Name: KdogKingOfRock : 2011-06-29 18:50 ID:QxXR1CFi [Del]

Of course! The warped tour scene is epic! I personally would reccomend August Burns Red even though there more hardcore that Attack Attack! and Woe Is Me

3 Name: Mael : 2011-07-02 10:42 ID:KB+bnIg+ [Del]

Warped tour this year was sick as shit. I've been listening to alot of Protest the Hero lately...

I'd recommend, When all else fails, We came as Romans, August burns Red, A Day to Remember. And (notably) a Japanese band called Crossfaith, they are fucking badass, and their new album The Dream The Space just came out not too long ago.

GYAAAAH! My Warped Tour is tomorrow, and I'm real upset that I can't go. >.< I really wanted to see A Skylit Drive and Abandon All Ships!...

I haven't gone to Warped Tour for the past two years.
The lineups just aren't doing it for me these days.
Although, it's ALMOST worth it to see the returning Ska bands every year.

I used to listen to it. There was a pretty good band out of New Jersey called Fire in the Eyes of the City. I think they're still around.

senses fai, saosin, story of the year, oh yeah and the old escape the faith and bless the fall . . those bands with autotune vocals and with a "Br00t4l" reputation are off my list

If you like Attack Attack! then check out Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas, a Japanese group picking up where AA! began to slack.

15 Name: Yoshimitsu : 2011-11-16 11:02 ID:+/wm2KrV [Del]

also try protest the hero they can be quiet crazy with the guitar rifts

16 Name: Mael !DoMiNUIT9I : 2011-11-16 11:34 ID:T+tQ3+Jo [Del]

>>15 Hell yeah, PTH has some amazing guitar riffs.

Coldrain and Crossfaith are pretty boss too.. They are both japanese bands, but the lead singer from Coldrain sings in nearly perfect english. And Crossfaith sounds like an American metal band, but pulls it off better imo.

Mael, I thank you for bringing Crossfaith to light. i have never heard of them so I decided to check them out. fucking amazing.

Once Nothing is great, just broke up last year though, it's a shame I saw them live at some hole-in-the-wall place during their going away tour

19 Name: Mael !hefBVEyOUs : 2011-11-18 00:58 ID:lhN7SIjm [Del]

>>17 Damn right, they have te sickest synth breakdowns I've ever heard. Like the first breakdown in 'Blue'... The first song I ever heard by them was 'Stars Faded in Slowmotion' which is amazing. And their new album is the tits along with their cover of 'Omen'...god damn.

20 Name: kurama : 2011-11-18 22:14 ID:NdTBb9PF [Del]

killwsitch engage, bring me the horizon, I set my friends on fire, August burns red, animals as leaders, and The devil wears prada ! hardcore enough for ya ? lol

21 Name: Firo !D9YDuldeCw : 2011-11-19 08:11 ID:FXNq39UC [Del]

>>19 i am definitely buying their album. Omen was the first song i listened, but all their other songs are nice. i showed my gf and she fell in love as well lol.

i checked out coldrain too. they're pretty good. i can't believe there's a lot of band on the rise in japan that are metal/post-hxc. it kind of excites me.

22 Name: Shin Megami Tensei : 2011-11-20 22:21 ID:xB+hGmKK [Del]

>>24 Periphery is prog and djent, and if you're into them, listen to Animals As Leader, The Odious. TesseracT, etc. And I don't know what you guys are saying. Warped the past few years has been terrible. 2010 has actually been the best in a few years. 2011 was the worst lineup of all time, and 2012 is going to be even worse. I remember when warped was all about the punk... Sad times we live in.

26 Name: Yatahaze !E/8OvwUzpY : 2011-12-04 11:06 ID:qicPmvpK [Del]

>>24 Fuck yes Periphery. Love that shit.
