I'm talking about Read This If You're New, What Not To Post On Main, and the FAQ thread.

I'm wondering about the efficiency of these threads to teach new members on how to navigate around the site and community, are they good enough? Are they too long? Was there a good reason to have them THAT long? Is there any good reason to make them shorter and concise?

Having been semi-new in this community I can say that the FAQ is almost completely out of touch with the state of the site. I found the other two at least semi useful reading most of each, but the FAQ is basically designed for a completely different community than the current one that exists imo.

So perhaps change some of the question's order? So the questions that actually get asked frequently is placed on top of the list and are easily reachable?

Or just revamp the whole thing entirely? That sounds counter-productive though...

Change the order from most relevant to least relevant and add a few new questions that are now relevant and there you go. That way the person reading will get the most important and best information first, and the further down they go, the less relevant it will get to the current state. Whether it's important enough that somebody does this job, I'm not sure, but that's my viewpoint anyways.
