It's been proven that mixed gender schools are better for the development of children - what point is there is seperating boys and girls just to suddenly throw them together later on. It's pointless, and will create akwardness and discomfort for both parties.

The socialization of the two genders in mixed schools is crucial in early life if there is to be any hope of either party knowing how to deal with the opposite gender later in life, as Siren said.

I believe there are merits to both.
I think multi-sex schools are good to develop into knowing how to interact but single-sex schools do help a lot with focus on academia.

I guess that is true too, however I seemed to transition perfectly fine despite not going to a multi-sex school for the first part of my schooling. I guess it does depend on individuals as well.

>>1 speaking as a trans person I think single-sex schools are horrifying.

Speaking as a /scientist/... they might be better at leading to good academic outcomes, but I think trying to fix society so that the weird sexist imbalances leading to the need for single-sex schools are no longer a thing is a better long-term solution.

single-sex schools are stupid things. No way being with girls can affect negatively in a person.

>>8 Data suggest that, no, it doesn't hurt boys to be in classrooms with girls...

but it does hurt /girls/ to be in classes with /boys/. Not sure why.

Even though this is an interesting topic of discussion, it shouldn't be on the main board.
