I've seen an increasingly large amount of posts in Main that don't belong in Main and are irritating many members as well as clogging up the feed and diluting the amount of things that actually do belong on main. This post was remade primarily to outline what is acceptable to post on Main and what is not, as well as a very brief explanation as to why, and where your post should have been placed originally.

I can not emphasize enough that we have an Introduction board for a reason. If you wanna introduce yourself, go there, then lurk quietly so you don't piss off the other members. Check yoself before you rek yoself.

What's 'sage' and 'bump' mean?
Okay this one is a perfectly understandable question that I'm not even mad about. There is a checkbox towards the top right of the text input area when you click 'New Reply,' it's labelled "Sage:". Clicking this tells the site you don't want to send the thread back to the top of the board because there's a new reply. That's a Sage. When members say '/sage' at the end of a reply, it's because the post they replied on was deemed inappropriately placed or made. A bump is when someone posts a minimal amount of information in a reply to a thread, with intent for the thread to be sent back to the top of the board for people to read the original post.

There's a Countries board to the left, under Main. Dollar member bang✫bang has been courteous enough to the site to make a directory thread housing links to all of the sites based on continent, country, and even region in some cases. Not only that, he included a Convention/Meet thread for Dollars to meet up on. Big thanks to him for keeping things a little more sane there. If you don't see the directory, DO NOT make a new post for your country. There's a huge chance it already exists and is in the directory thread. Once in the Countries board, click "View All Threads" on the right and you should find it easily.

Anything regarding an App
Almost every app I know of requires a wifi connection to work. This site was made using HTML, XML, and CSS (and perhaps some other things as well), all of which are mobile-friendly. If you have a wifi connection on your phone, the app is not necessary since the site works well on its own. If the gigantic desktop potatoes of the early 1990's can handle those codes, the pocket computer in your hand with a stronger processor most certainly can.

It's not really outlined anywhere how replies work. When I was new, I used ppl's usernames to address something they had said. Then I thought for a while that you had to type it out like, >, >, then the number. I never saw where it was said that when replying to people you need to press on their comment number, and it'll automatically appear in the reply box. (Shrugs)

I usually just skipped main and go straight to random.

Granted, I returned to the Dollars to create a mission. But I CHECKED if it already existed. I can't stand how frequent new missions are when there's a dozen larger ones, and hundreds of smaller incomplete ones. To the point where someone took the time to make whole threads for smaller missions and propagation. Yet they fail to solve the issue. Organization is a never ending struggle for the Dollars, most of it because members come and go faster than they can learn to navigate properly. Then anyone who has stuck around, slams newbies for not following the rules, which makes new members question if this group is as free and open as in the series.

We have to do our best to keep the site functional and organized, while keeping the open community atmosphere.

PS: The addition of captchas only makes correcting newbies that much more irritating. A stupid bot screwed that up for us a few months ago.

Yeah the captchas are the bane of my existence.
