"Occupy" Should it be BROUGHT BACK? (13)

This was a movement that united the 99% in struggle to bring economic equality to the world. However it failed because of legal evictions. Some even go as far as to say that the movement was bought out. Just by looking at the health of the world, we all know the world needs economic reform. So what should we do? Bring back the occupy movement in order to save the world? Or should we try something new?

Occupy movement sounds like communism with trying to equalise income inequality and social inequality.

My opinion is that income and social inequality may not necessarily be a bad thing if there is Meritocracy to support it. By allowing social mobility through real efforts, it means that those that actually work for it have the chance to be the top.

It is only bad if there is no meritocracy in play, where the rich exploit the poor where the poor have no chance of climbing up the social ladder.

I'm not too sure if the Occupy movement is purely just wanted to equalise income inequality because it seems noble?

I don't think equality is a good thing at all because the economy will remain stagnant and fail over a long time because there is no motivation for people to work hard.

So, in the end of the day, I think the Occupy movement has its flaws in its fundamental understanding of inequality.

So your saying that millions of Americans would much rather bet on the slim chance of becoming billionaires than to have a good chance of a more abundant life? Well if that's what people are most happy with, I can't help them. Honestly though, I don't think it's very wise. It's also selfish.

The occupy movement had millions of Americans involved in it. It's failure was the result of lawful evictions. Millions of people want economic equality over meritocracy.

can we just be happy about life than money but here's the real question... if money is the source of all evil, why do churches ask for it???

Economic equality is impossible in our current society, human exist by using others, and in such a world, if no-one was in a position of power it would be taken advantage of by intelligent people.

We don't know that yet. We haven't tried every possible solution.

Oh? But that's merely theoretical. Unless someone suggesting this actually is capable of bringing a new idea into existence, then my point still holds.

A lot of times in our society people pick jobs because of a higher salary. People go so far as to pick jobs that they hate just for money.

Think about a time you had to do something that you hated doing.

You tried to cheat your way out of it.

You did the minimum amount of work possible.

It was done deliberately.

You procrastinated.

The work could have been done better.

Think about a time that you did something you loved. Chances are you're doing it right now or at least wishing you could.

There wasn't enough time for you to get your work done. That day went by just too fast.

You couldn't stop thinking about it after work.

It was done better than anyone else in your office or class.

Most importantly you were happy and felt good.

People are putting their talents to waste because they work at places for more cash.

Things will get done a lot faster and better when using passion as an incentive instead of money.

Eliminating meritocracy by equalizing income will force people to take on passion as an incentive. It's a theory but I think it would make everyone happy.
