Do you believe homosexuality is a choice or biological?

I believe homosexuality stems from factors such as genetics, environmental, and other such factors. But mostly I see as predetermined due to obtaining certain genes.

I believe that homosexuality (and any other sexuality) is not a choice.

You can't just go, "I'm tired of being straight, I'll just go switch to being homosexual." Although there is a possibility that you might be straight today but realize you're attracted to people of the same sex tomorrow.

I am a young heterosexual female. Was it my choice to be attracted to the opposite sex? No, it wasn't. We can't really choose who we'll fall in love with/be attracted to. Life would be much more easier for us if we could.

Who gives a fuck? It's no different than choosing a flavour of ice-cream.

Well I've heard of stories that people are homosexual out of their own will, and have tried changing their sexual orientation but failed.

Seems more like they are born as a homosexual. Then again, we have yet to know if this is really true.

Interesting to know though.. This way we can accept homosexuals in our society better. It is still kinda like a social stigma no matter how we look at it now :/

It shouldn't really matter about what people think. Just as long as the individual is happy with who they are should be all that really matters. It's not really a contest as to which is more normal, homosexuality or heterosexuality; there is no such thing as being normal. There's only such a thing as acceptance. One is more accepted than the other but that shouldn't just define an individual or a group of individuals who are dealing or fight for similar goals.

I feel like it would be a biological thing, but not hereditary. After all there are all these stories of people saying that they never even though of heterosexuality, and that homosexuality was just natural to them. Then again it may just not be a conscious decision.

I really don't care, people are who they are... I don't believe there's a science behind it. Maybe they are just influenced by their pasts...

I believe it's a bit of both, like most other emotions and sexual attraction various hormones and brain chemicals are involved which may be from genetic factors, however we can choose whether or not to act on such factors.

Maybe your straight your entire life, but then you meet this person who you fall in love with, but is the same gender.

I don't necessarily that people are born being gay or straight. Once hormones come in, you could literally be attracted to a tree, so by then, you'll be as confused as flack about your sexuality. After that's all past, however, you may be sure of how you feel towards a person. Weather is the same or opposite sex.
It can sometimes be a stage, but it can also be serious attraction towards the same sex, or simply only that one person, who you adore with all your heart, but is simply the same sex as you.

I don't think that sexuality is a choice... Try being lesbian/gay for a day and see how easy it is XD. It's the same thing for lesbian/gay people. No matter whether it's a choice or not, people should have the right to love each other regardless of their gender.

I heard homosexuality can run in the family but there are still a number of cases of being the only gay child in the family. So yeah, it's both.

Kt's not biological. It's been scientifically proven that homosexuality is an environmental factor, influenced when outside the womb, but at the same time, it's not a choice either... It sort of falls under a category of it's own xD
