A friend is there for vacation and he said that his flight was cancelled, from 7am to 10:45am. They went to the airport, and there it was chaos. Mad people, sad people, crying people, panicking people. So they were like wutwut. Turns out those people have been waiting on a plane for 10 fucking hours. One girl had her exams today. One woman needed her medicine, which was in her luggage. So they looked at the board for their own flight: cancelled. Then all of a sudden, this guy yells in the middle of the airport: Everyone! Our luggage is dropped outside. Turns out the airport just dumped all of their luggage outside. But anyways, those people were made and yelling, and eventually left the airport back to their hotel (and they probably got to pay for everything themselves. It's a fucking shame.) So now he is at the airport, waiting if his flight get cancelled or not.
Why all this? Well. Apparently there is a park in the middle of Istanbul. The Turkish government wanted to place a mall where the park is. Only... That park is like 100 years old. It's like a secret park for the Turkish people. So the people decided to protest. They went with tents and their children and stayed in the park. Before they know it,police were shooting at them, chasing them away with tear gas and stuff. Torturing the people, hitting them with sticks and all. To chase them away. So the people on Istanbul, and outside of Istanbul, decided they would protest for another thing... Human rights. This had been going on for four days straight now and that's why he can't fly. People in Turkey died, lost their eyes, got tortured by policemen, just because they wanted their park instead of a filthy mall. The media, for whatever reason, decided not to show any of this. Instead, they are blaming the people for being violent. So here is my friend’s story, witnessing what's REALLY going on here. Please guys. Show your love and support for the people of Turkey. Pray for their safety. Pray for their rights.

>>6 It belongs in News doesn't it? Why did no one talk about the Syrian Civil War/Massacre on Main? Or what about the recently revealed rampant sex abuse and sex trade within Chinese elementary and middle schools? How was that not important enough?
If this didn't belong in news or in missions (since he wanted us to pray for them, speak now.
