Well, as I don't know where you live there isn't much I can say to help, but I´m pretty sure there is something you can do to put your goverment in action.
I haven´t made much about it yet though, as culture has been always one of my top priorities.
I have a relative who's working in the goverment's cultural branch, where I help whenever I can.
So far, we have been raising the awareness of various topics, LGBT rights (mostly LG, I have to say), abort, discrimination of any kind, etc.
So I hope to be able to help this little city more in the future.
