did you mean Binaural beats?
It often used in meditation, it can also increase someone's creativity.
It has been used for the recovery of repressed memories, but as with other techniques this can lead to false memories (well, with wrong technique).
This binaural beats can be used for lucid dreaming, telepathy, out of body experience.

have you listened to that binaural beats? :o

I've listened to some of these beats.
I guess, every beat has a different effect on different people.
For me, it's Liquid Drum'n'Bass.
I can concentrate very well, when I'm listning to it.

I never heard about them before. I'll look this up.

"Binaural beats or binaural tones are auditory processing artifacts, or apparent sounds, the perception of which arises in the brain for specific physical stimuli."

You know when you hear fast-paced music you get excited? How about when you calm down to Gymnopédies deliberate and mild dissonances against harmony? Tha's w'at dis is. c:

BTW, this isn't really big or important news... it's kinda well known. Well, rather, everyone knows it mentally (if they are not mentally ill/retarded), but some people haven't learned the name of it yet.

It is well known, but im worried about >>4 and >>5 cause, like everything else, it might pose a risk. So before you go off and start downloading every binaural sound file you can find you might want to make sure it is ok for you to listen to them.

I heard about them ages ago, but I'm not sure if they are 100% safe, I think I heard that at a certain frequency it could cause some health problems or something like that.

White noise ? That's just for relaxation, and easier sleep.

It won't improve your memory or reflexes dramatacly, it'll just manipulate your dreams if you fall asleep while listening to them.

For exemple you can make someone have nightmares just by making them listen to a certen "Binural Beats" but that's all, it's 100% safe.

Well supposedly Pokemon green's Lavender town music had high pitch sounds in it and it caused headaches and depressed behavior leading to suicide attempts, supposedly it was effective on children since their ears arent developped. But thats just a myth it can only cause mild headaches if you put it to high.

13 Name: Dias !Fwa6UqgPqQ : 2013-01-24 10:37 ID:LJTMGeaL [Del]

The Lavander Town Syndrome is 100% hoax, and it's been proven against. It's all just psychological, because since they heard that they'd get nausea or headaches, the brain makes them think they do have a headache/nausea. But it's the same music as in the US versions etc.
bumping because I think this is really interesting subject to discuss about

14 Name: Kiruki : 2013-01-24 13:21 ID:PAowBHWP [Del]

But even the psychological "Placebo" effect of the Lavender Syndrome is amazing.

You can cure diseases with a pill of pure sugar just by telling them it will work. The fact that we have that much power over people without any real power at all is incredible.

Think of what it could be used for.

15 Name: Dias !Fwa6UqgPqQ : 2013-01-24 13:32 ID:LJTMGeaL [Del]

That's true, it's really amazing. I wonder if it's possible that binaural beats work this way as well.
Well, of course it's possible, but I wonder if that is the case?

16 Name: Kiruki : 2013-01-24 13:40 ID:PAowBHWP [Del]

I mean, even in a while.

Imagine psychologically controlled mind control.

17 Name: Dias !Fwa6UqgPqQ : 2013-01-24 13:59 ID:LJTMGeaL [Del]

Influencing someone is, in a way, mind control.

I've heard 7.83 hertz can increase phychokenetical (telekinesis, pyrokinesis, etc.) abilities.

>>18 telekinesis ? for real xD
Dude that doesn't exist

>>20 I beg to differ. Or at least, argue against.

There are several people who believe in things such as telekinesis, clairvoyance, etc. reporting actual experiences with it. So-called Mediums such as Chico Xavier existed AND exist. There's just as much concrete proof about this kind of thing as the existence of God, so you shouldn't outright say "That doesn't exist" to anyone.
