I'am with Kuro Yume. I'll also be exploring the world and uncover its secrets. The adventure and stuff sure is fun and exciting but when you've done with all the adventure you'll be bored. The longer you live the more you suffer.

God everybody is so good, I would use my immortality to slowly build up a money sucking cooperation from the ground up taking hundreds of years to make myself filthy rich. Eventually I will start putting my money into researching superhuman powers that only I would be able to use. I would sell off the lesser ones for huge amounts of money then use THAT money to fund a full blown expedition into space. Set up a colony with an oxygen dome and all and eventually build a new society under my rule. Except it wouldn't be fucked like earth.

I say living to see all of your loved ones die isn't as bad as people say. I think there was one person who said that it would be heartbreaking and every other person followed like usual. The way I see it, you have tons of time to make friends and loved ones who will be around long enough to make you happy.

If I was immortal, I would spend many hours meditating life questions. I would travel and experience all the world is helping as many people as I can along the way. Eventually, I would try to either leave this world or take the human race under my immortal wings.

If I were immortal I would have as much fun as possible, I would travel (occasionally faking my death and restarting a 'new life' when needed) and have fun, undergoe different persona's meet different and the same people under different circumstances, explore and live.

eternal life or eternal youth? if it's the former then i would rather not be a thousand years old and feel like it, but if it was eternal youth, i'd take it if i wasn't too old or too young.

Ideally: Travel to all over the planet, see monuments and ruins, try to save some endangered species (definitely play with penguins), (when available) space travel, scuba dive near the coral reefs, hike the Mt. Everest, and other fun stuff.
Of course I would have to find a way to financially support my fun.

I'm not exactly sure what I'd do. Try to enjoy life. Play roles as different characters throughout years in my life. And it'd all totally depend on what age my body was stuck in. I'd do different things if I had a body of a 16 year old then if I had a body of a 23 year old.

@Master-Sama that was what I was trying to ask Jumkori because if you venture far enough into the descriptions of immortality there are numerous versions as with any myth or power. For ex there's Baccano's impression of immortality where you remain the same age as you did when you become immortal (c the anime for details on that) then there is the version you are following which is the one I myself prefer where eternal youth is added in there so you just dont worry about aging at all. This will take too long to explain in here and Ive already wasted your and everyone else's time as is. So sorry for the rant everyone and Master-Sama hope I answered your question (even if it was meant to b rhetorical).

I would write a book. I would write the book based on myself and add drawings. I would write about how I was the most amazing person in the world. I would completely lie about my self. And then, 1000 years later I would show it to the world. They would create religions about me, and I would be the world leader/god. I would completely disown the Bible, and every other book of the sort. I would toy with people's brains, and completely dissect human psychology. I would continuously find ways to entertain myself in mad scientist kind of way. I would become an (almost) omnipotent being. You know, that sort of thing.

To be honest, I'd use it for good. What way could immortality be used for evil? I mean, I guess using it for evil would be like, murdering people, being put on death row, not dying, and just murdering again. hat sounds about right, doesn't it? Everyone that I ever loved would die, and I would eventually sink into depression. Then I would turn to anger and seek revenge on this world, by pitting people against each other for fun. I don't think anyone has considered the fact that living forever would be completely terrible after a while. Even in the first normal lifetime you would find that everyone you know dies. And if you are going to give the solution to that being "don't have any loved ones", well to that i say, try it. The real problem is having to live forever and watch everyone else die. Sure, in a way this is a good thing. You could be a god essentially. It would be quite easy. But after a while you would need companionship, friends, someone that you can place faith in to stick around as long as you are alive. The truth is, the only cure for that is for everyone else to be immortal as well. Seeing as that's not going to happen, we can safely assume that, after you have done it all and seen it all, being immortal is going to be pretty terrible.

Good thing about being an immortal is that if you are an adventurer, well see there are LOTS and LOTS of things in this world to explore and to go through all of them, it would take more than a life time. So if you like to travel and learn billions of new stuff, then it's great to be immortal, you have all the time you need.

If you have people you really care about or get emotionally attached to someone very easily then it's bad because you'll have to watch them go through pain, grow up, leave you and die then you'll be all alone. Basically every person you meet will die and it could be nerve breaking if your mentally is weak.

I think the first thing I would do with my immortality is extream sports and other such things. Anything adrenaline pumping. After a couple years of that I think I would start studding and learning about anything and everything. Travel around the world, maybe write a book or two about my experiances along the way. Help create new technologies, things of the sort. I know I would be immortal, but one of the things I would want to create would be something like a Virtual Reality room or a machine that would create something of the sort in your mind, mostly because I think Earth would get boring after living so long. The ability to create, destroy and live in different worlds would be amazing. Maybe bring back those people that have already been long gone.

I guess after a few hundreds of years one would get used to a certain loneliness, but I believe there will be a time where things are hard to bare. However, of course, we could do all awesome things and see the world and explore human nature and increase health etc and develop technology and all other science, and yes, we might be able to bring back those we lost. I dunno, I'm not immortal, but if I'd get the chance I guess I'd still try until my worries here get true.

I would watch the world burn. the distruction of the human race by my hands. I would re build this world for the rightful owners (animals and nature). and if humanity somehow survived I would allow it to grow but keep it in check so that they wont cause this worlds death. I would become a teacher to the new world and then go on with my endless life untill im needed to destroy once again. living forever would be tough, watching loved ones die. but after a decade or 10 time would no longer be a issue. i dought id even notice time.

Honestly? I would travel the world, explore the unknown, learn anything and everything I can, and help the people I meet along the way. I wouldn't waste my time on falling in love, or getting attached, because I know they would all die without me.
I'd read everything, take pictures of all the things I see, take notes on the world, so that others can know what I saw.
Draw the world, the people, everything precious, so that I can create something that won't die on me.
Then after I've done everything I can, I would find the place of the person I love now, he would be dead by then, and just sleep forever. Sleep away the years surrounded by reminders of things I lost, and be happy again in the dreams of my past when everything was good. When I hadn't been left alone, and wait until the world finally turns to dust before me.

I would spend my time finding a way to die. Immortality is the worst curse ever, if you actually think about it. You would form relationships and friendships, partnerships, etc only to watch them all die while you are stuck with the "gift of eternal life." eventually, you would have been everywhere, done everything, and there would be nothing good to do anymore except watch everything else die. so, if i were immortal, i would spend my unending life, looking for a way to die.

First, I'd master various skills that I would never have the time to in a normal lifetime. Different fighting styles, computer skills, multiple languages, etc. I'd accumulate a fortune over the years and force as many powerful figures as possible into my debt. Then, when the time was right, I'd take over the world. As the benevolent ruler who will never die, I'd hold control until eventually going insane for living too long.

Imortality is more of a curse in my eyes. I wouldnt want to spend all of time working so i would probably turn to crime eventually and if i get caught, spend that time learning how to escape. I'd spend my life under countless different names, change the way i look every few years, and start over constantly. Eventually i would become almost invisible to the cops because i would know every trick to stay free. No one would be able to catch me or kill me. I would live my life as truely a free person.

I would perfect every martial art known to man and because of having that much badassery AND being immortal, I would get pretty big headed on how no one could stop me.

But then after a while, I would get pretty lonely since I was making enemies out of the state and possibly the country. I would leave for a little while (and be a little, I mean 50 years), gather up some money during that time (whether hard earned or stolen)and live on a tropical island, maybe Ko Sichand, Thailand. Then I would go back to the states and use the plan I developed over 50 years to dictate it, most likely blaspheming by convincing religious radicals and extremists that I am the Messiah, and change so damn much about everything, but unfortunately for the first ten years there will be martial law and a cut off from the rest of the world so we can focus on our own problems.
Then I will give America some what of a gentle release back into the world, sit back with a glass of Scotch and see how it all goes.

I think I'd just kind of go with the flow, you know? Try new things, have different jobs, learn all that I can... I'd experience as much as I possibly could. I'd travel the world too, since it's one of my greatest ambitions. Then, when I've done all that I possibly can, I'll find a quiet, peaceful place somewhere in the world, lay down, and ponder the universe. I'd think about everyone and each of their individual lives, think about how short their lives are compared to mine, and possibly envy them since eternity is a very lonely thing.

I mean, you would be watching the people you love and cherish just die in front of you of old age while you stay perfectly young and can't die anyways. Due to the loneliness and the realization that you will have to live like that forever? The only 'friends' you would have would be the ones you create in your head. I'm not bound by time restraints, so no worrying about not having enough time in my life to do basically everything I've ever wanted to do, and even stuff I don't, because why not? And the greatest part about being immortal would be that I can be as lazy as I want and just waste days without that constant guilt of "life is too short." Because life wouldn't be too short. So I can just lay around the house doing absolutely nothing, just because I can, because I have the time.

Well I'll just look at others and try to help those who ask for help or look like they need help. Actually I wrote a story about a person name Info who was immortal by accident and he tried his best to help and is alone but each time he meet new friends and helps more people which makes him happy.

At first I guess I'd be kinda joyed... I mean, ever since I was little I've been researching Vampire myths and Wiccan stuff- so I'd probably be really happy for a little while (say a couple of months to a year?)
But afterwards I would say that I'd be rather depressed... I mean, all of my loved ones would grow old around me, I'd never be able to experience all the great things that come with growing up, like celebrating my 21st and going drinking, or getting married or having a kid.
I'd be stuck in a infinite bubble of my own world where everything changed around me and I just... stayed the same.

First I would find out why I am Immortal, is it because of superior biological regenerative abilities, or simply because I am just born that way. If it is the first option, I would see if my immortality is transferable to other people, then once I've selected worthy candidates, make them immortal too, because after all it would suck to have to watch everyone around you die as they get older, so make a few other immortals to live with and make a family with. If it is not transferable I would claim to be Jesus Christ, and prove this with a quick suicide in front of the masses to prove I am Jesus and have the ability to come back from the dead. After it is proven I would claim that the rapture is about to come, and all who join me will be saved and those who do not join me will perish and suffer in the flames of hell. After most everyone sides with me I would lead them into war with those who did not. Now if everyone thinks rationally and clearly they WILL side with Jesus, and all that would be left would be like satanists, who naturally would oppose those with me. So in short, I've managed to unify the entire world in the hatred of a common enemy, the satanist. (sorry satanists nothing against you guys but I would need a scapegoat for this plan to work and you happened to be a perfect fit) After the world was unified I would open a small bread shop/bakery called The Bread of Life", The End.

Well, immortality isn't exactly a wonderful thing. Maybe if you live in solitude and have no relations or connections. Plus, this is a changing world. The elderly are no longer as wise as they used to be; the majority can't properly operate technology. But what I COULD do is become a detective or policewoman and go into the frontlines. There'd be nothing to worry about then, right? Or I could just be an informant like Izaya- he's probably received hundreds of death wishes.

People seem to forget that even though you are immortal, you are not god, nor do you have an extended concentration span. It's actually a lot more sad than you think it is. Just like how these countries live, they can experience the best, the worst and they can never forget those events. They can't just forget all about that one certain historical part of them what a human can just do; it's natural for them. But we humans are kind of like that; we were created by organisms that function to create a human, and everyone has a history. Though what's different is that we exist to be fair. Immortality is merely an impossibility- Nicholas Flamel, the famous alchemist that was stated to have made the first philosopher's stone is just a legend. Someone could have taken his body of that coffin or something. But I know immortality can't be achieved, well at least for us humans.

The reason why I'm indecisive here is because I would like to see the world changing, but it would take a lot more endurance to keep going as a human being if immortal. I've seen enough anime like FMA: brotherhood to see that immortality is a terrible "curse", the same goes with Hetalia with that one episode with France in "A Bientot" when he said he thought God was playing a trick on him when he saw Lisa, thinking of her as Jean of Arc instead. I would probably make a fortune in doing dangerous things, like bull fighting, or be a dare devil, like evil kanivile, and then buy a big house and all the things i want, then invest in researching my immortality and duplicating it, then make some of the best people immortal with me, but only like 2 or 3 people MAX and then just have fun for the rest of, well as long as i wish, then if i get bored i can just do something insane and jump of a cliff and survive, get some plastic surgery and scare people by almost killing myself, and then just screwing around mostly, also, live on the wild side, like walking in dark ally ways and seeing if i get mugged, and get all of the statistics correct, like odds of being mugged i certain areas, i would also spend some if my time fighting in wars, and ill chose the side i want, and establish that i wont hold any grudges or loyalty, and make the world a better place and be eccentric. Interesting to think of the definition "immortal"? Because indefinite life is definitely something to be sought after, but only upon inspection of the parameters surrounding it.

Would we be forever in our teens? In our 20s? In our middle age, or perhaps mature to old age and live life onto infinity from that point forwards?

I believe that is quite the predicament to weigh the merit of such a blessing or curse as you wish to see it. If I were to stay young, then I would whole-heartedly accept and explore the world, see the future, explore space, expand scientific advancement, and moreover help human-kind progress further. However, if I were to be of old age, I don't think that situation holds any merit, and I would not wish to have immortality.

Honestly I would use my power for evil. Some people just wanna watch the world burn, and I'm one of them. I would just kill all the people I hate. Also cause utter chaos. V_V

I guess... I would just do stuff and live life normally (assuming I'd also have eternal youth. If I wouldn't I would probably just curl up in a hole and never come out.) until I got bored with it, and idk... Assuming this means eternal youth (aged 16 - 19 ish) then I wouldn't live the conventional life aside from school. I would watch anime a whole lot and help people in need. I would purposely look for people in need of help and do everything I can to help them. But there would always be one question in the back of my mind. What happens when someone dies? When you die you finally know the truth of what happens (not trying to promote suicide, life is awesome once you see the good side of it). When you live forever that is one question you can't answer. You could know everything else except for that one question, and that question is the most important one a human could find the answer to.

I want to ask every one who reply why you would really want to prolong death i mean sure it would be cool to do alot of those thing but alot of them depending on your age can be accomplished in your life time but would you really wanna live forever never knowing and always fearing change i mean we all have to acept that in one point we would want to die or are going to. I would do as I see fit. Work with governments to gain a type of diplomatic immunity of sorts against all crimes. A pardon of sorts so I am be able to roam the world as an individual who would fight crime. And be the final decision on if the human race should be allowed to continue to exist deciding on if they are or aren't a threat to the world in the long run. But not a god. I would never want to be a god. That is not my place.

Well, if I were not to age or die for, let's say, at least two hundred years probably people would get scared and would lock me up or something. Which would be like torture in the end. So I'd probably try to live in secret, so that this doesn't happen... If people couldn't lock me up and hurt me in any way I think I might try being an advisor for the whole world, because I'd be the person with the most experiance, right? Hm, probably, at some point I would kill the people I see as the bad guys. Someone who never dies and can't be hurt or restrained would eventually become a godlike existance for the people, I think.

I'd probably spend it no different than how I live my life now... staying in doors and watching anime all day. Since I can live forever too I would be able to watch almost every anime, current and old. Wait does not aging count in that being immortal? cause if we do age, then I would rather find a way to die, than become old and undying. If we are not aging too, then I would like to go around the world and see it change every time, just there watching it as it change, write what i see each time i see it. I think being immortal would be awful. Think about it. Immortality doesn't just end with humanity. You'e talking about eternity. Being around for the end of the universe and still going.
I can't think of anything worse, to be honest.

The possibility to acquire knowledge potentially with no limits, to experience every kind of choice in this world, to live different in every ways. I would enjoy immortality in its variety, not in relying in the same lifestyle, even if it is the best one. So, immortality would be extraordinary, but the possibility to choose your death time would be better.

As someone pursuing this goal ultimately, I have a few ideas about what I'd do. In an ordinary lifespan I don't have the time to master all of my interests, I don't have enough time to one day travel amongst the stars and pursue adventure there, and to live in a true space age and experience life as my ideal self. That's why I want to give myself that time, because I want to pursue that life even if it causes me pain. Living eternally means coping with and accepting the pain of living, something I'm constantly adapting to achieve regardless.
