You are basicly anonymous here, in the aspect that nobody really knows who you are, unless you want them to - because of that, people can really be theirselves. I read this the other day, and I think it fits this concept: "Give a man a mask and he will show you his real face".
Facebook is a social network, that I both love and hate. You keep contact with people you know, and you can see who you are dealing with. Facebook is also a place where people pretend to be somebody that they are not. Rather pretending to be popular, or pretending to have a perfect life. People can be reallllly fake in that place.
The two things are so different that there is no way to compare them.
