I've been around the Dollars for some time now, and I've talked to a lot of Dollars and it'd be a lie to say that we can't do anything in times of an emergency. I've talked to people who know all kinds of martial arts and they are in no way scared of fighting.
So let me ask you this:
-if there was a problem, either Dollar related or not, and you had the option to do something about it... would you and risk it being hurt?
-Would you put yourself expose your deepest thoughts and feelings to prove a point and defend someone when it's not certain you will win the fight?
-Would you give someone something that's dear to you to in sure someone's emotional well being?
-What would you give to make sure someone is happy?
-How far would you go in an emergency that depended on you?
-Would you stand back or do something about it weather or not your friends were around or other Dollars or even if you were alone?
That's just something I thought I'd through out there, it's not a 'for sure' kind of question but still something to think about.

I'd fight. I consider myself a formidable martial artist and street fighter myself and could confidently stand against someone bigger than me (rare since I'm 6'2").
-If I had the chance to do something to immediately help someone who was being attacked or what have you, I'd absolutely jump in.
-The only way anyone can get their true thoughts and feelings across is if they put them out there.
-I'm not too sentimental as far as material possessions, but people shouldn't care so much about things like that anyway. If the something special would be a piece of my heart, I'd be happy to share it.
-See previous point.
-I'd see it out to the end or at least as far as I'd be able to help. If the pros arrive, they'd be much more suited to take care of things.
-If something was really going down and I could do something about it, I'd do everything I could, backup or not.

I know a lot of it may sound cheesy, but that's what I truly think. It's what I'd do and it's what I think everyone should at least consider. What If you could save a life, but you decided not to? Apathy is a bad, bad thing.

I would most definately do everything I could. If it was to stand up and fihgt, risk exposure, or retribution. This is about being apart of something bigger than the average person. Being apart of a group this large means that we have the power to make a difference in any battle Vs as a single person. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't selfish, but when someone really needs my help, I'll almost always drop what I'm doing to help them. I'm willing to part with a little money, and certain things in order to help someone else, even a stranger. I try to stand up for people that need it when I see that they could use some help, but if they seem to be able to handle themselves, I'll just laugh at the guy who started it.

I learned a few martial arts through classes, sparring, and other experiences. So, sure why not. Besides, we are the Dollars.

Here's my response:
- It really depends on the situation and I asses if im capable in helping or not; if it's Dollars related I would jump at the chance.
- I keep my ideas close to me; so yes I would defend them; even if I know I can't win because they are worth it.
- Absolutely, helping out someone in a dire need is something I would jump at.
- Anything; honestly anything if I feel they deserve to be happy.
- All the way till the point that im facing inevitable death. I can always fight another day; if im dead then I have failed; but sometimes your life is worth the risk. I have never been in one of those situations but maybe someday I may have to chose...
- I always try to stand against injustice whenever I see it. I don't care if I do loose my relations with my friends or not because in the end I know it's the right thing to do and that's what counts.
Now here's the downer part, im currently living in Japan so I can't do jack shit about helping others back home. But when I do return I intend to keep true to my word.

Why not? It can make you step out of your comfort zone and maybe meet a new friend. Debating about something is quite healthy I've heard but when it comes to vilonce, there's nothing too small you can do; let it be helping someone who got hurt or fighting the enemy for justice.

It all depends on location. The dollars seem to be quite small right now. To effectively help anyone we would need numbers.

If there was anyway I could help others in need, I would do it; no matter what happens to me.

I joined the Dollars because I wanted to help others. I agree though that we need more people, but I would still fight and or die to help any one of my family or friends. I consider the Dollars as my family and friends and I would help anyone as best as I could^u^

I'd answer the call. I'm willing to do whatever is necessary to protect the safety and well being of somebody no matter who it is. If somebody is doin somethin wrong, they should be stopped no matter what the cost. Especially if it means the deference between their safety and getting hurt.

I would answer the call right away. but depending on where the emergency is located (im in california) then i would do my best to provide support to my fellow dollars.

I sadly can't say I would fight for a stranger. But hear me out. It isn't cause I'm a coward or anything, but I love the people around me so much. The people I know, My friends, my Family. If something were to happen to me, I would leave alot of them sad and my family would be torn apart. I would do anything for them, but to risk death for a stranger. I don't feel it is wrong for me to say I place the people I care for before the strangers. If it was a little thing like making a stranger smile, I would in a heart beat, but anything father then that, it to risky.

But that also leaves room for variables, like if I was involved in an emergency, I would take command in order to be able to go home, and I would support anyone with me as much as I could so that they could make it home as well.

I defiantly would help. I don't know Martial arts but I do work out. And with a Shizou attitude I'm sure I'd bring the pain down on at least one person. But then again, I wouldn't try to fight, I'd just so what the problem is and try and work it out peacefully.

I seem to try and convince myself that I'm not a good person by laughing at cruel and offensive things and such but I think deep down I am because my actions usually are of a good nature. That being said I would do all I can to help someone in need. I went to Scouts so that might be part of it but I've also seen how people just watch as someone gets mugged or something and I can't understand why you wouldn't help. So yes, I'd risk harm to myself both mental and physical to save someone. I think I'm strong enough to survive through anything on the mental side and I think I could put up a good fight physically. me and few other dollars i know are VFD's and EMT's even when we are not at our halls and bases we still answer calls of help be it friend or stranger and we dont do it because we are firefighters or medical tech's we do it because we can and because we got the training alot of courses out there are free to take like cpr as for the fighting if it's a one on one fair fight we will wait for it to get out of hand or dirty but if its 2v1 we will even the odds

Unfortunately, my line of work has me doing some unsavory and violent things. As far as protecting people and using violence to do so, it doesn't bother me. I'm not a confrontational person but I do have to use violence once in a while to end a problem. Seeing as I work alone, solving problems alone is also not a problem. Basically, I'd be willing to do anything whether it involves violence or not.

Also, if you're stuck in an actual fight there are no rules. I know that sounds bad to some and people want things to be fair, but the world isn't. If you're a little guy or girl, forget the rulebook. Grab the nearest thing you can use as a weapon and aim for the throat, the kidneys, the crotch, or the ears.

I think Nanami was making the point of some people are afraid to go places because of where they live. If I still lived in Hampton I would be scared as fuck to go outside, there were three shoot-outs within a mile of my house in the two months I lived there. Luckily I live more than an hour away from there now.

I'm a big guy, built like an ox(6'4"; 278lbs, all muscle). I'm naturally strong, I'm not bad in the agility ring, and I'm a very experienced fighter.

These traits give me an edge over the standard, but what drives me forward into situations like these: courage.

I've stopped bullies a countless number of times(permanently, mind you), stopped home invasions all by my lonesome(grew up in nearly every bad neighborhood in the mid-west), and I don't bat an eye when approaching those who are less fortunate and begging on the street corners(actually helped a widowed mother of three this past weekend get a job at the Taco Bell on the other side of the street ^^).

I have no fears, no doubts, and no reservations against whomever needs whatever help I can offer. Family, friends, and strangers alike, if I have to carry people to a better tomorrow... well, I'm glad I was born with broad shoulders.

I can't say I would be any good at fighting, but if a fellow Dollar was in trouble nearby, or someone who had an emergency, I would do my best to help them! I'm an adult so, I think I would be a great help if a younger member (or anyone, really) was being hurt or was in need of someone to defend them. If a fighter was needed, I guess I could always bring along some hired muscle to do the job for me! :D

It depends on the situation, but the majority if the chance is that I'd act for someone else. I'm rather reckless, but it depends on how far I could go before my sense of self-preservation kicks in, thus...I feel that it'd take quite a bit for that sense to awaken.

Well... I want to help that problem, because I want to help peoples who needs help, even if I being hurt or maybe death, if I know the reason and the victim have strong reason or... words or (ugh I'm so bad at english. I even forgot the english). But one thing about it, I don't want to being over-protective to someone from their problems, because sometimes they have to face it by them self. I would share some things to peoples who's lonely or depressed. If the problems getting worse, I'll still trying to help even though I'm not as strong as others, or the enemies. And I don't care if I'm alone or not.

If it was in a life threatining situation where some close to me would be in a very bad spot in that situation i would gladly stand-up and help only reason ive said that is because ive done it before. for someones well-being you can only go so far as to emotional things and thoughts so of theres something i can do to help sure ill do it. If it was old me I would have. I had habit of helping others without thinking and I was, WAS, proud of that part of me. When time passed and helped more and more different kind of people, I learned that it's pretty useless to help people. Those who say yes to these questions would laugh at me and say I'm emo or something, but to be truthful, helping others means sacrificing yourself. Only one getting hurt by helping other is you and no one else. You will be hurt and the ones you helped will not care about you. They only receive help and never return. In the beginning I was aware of this, but didn't care, but when I gave more and more help, I had lesser and lesser help to offer and I became basically useless. So, my answer? My instinct will tell me to help, but my logic will be against it. And sadly, that's (at least my) reality.

I have been known to rush into emergency situations with no plans. I am a decent fighter since I'm so dodgy, but I'm kind of tiny and not particularly strong. x] I will wholeheartedly defend anyone worthy, though.

If it came down to it, of course I'd help! I'm known for being very quiet and reserved and shy, but.... If someone needed me, is help them! No matter what! I've been there before, in a situation where no one would help me because the bullies were too scary... I can't stand to see people like that... I may act like I don't care sometimes.... I'm pretty much a coward and am uncomfortable in most situations like that. However, I am also reckless. If someone's life was at stake, I would probably throw away all of my fear and hesitation and jump right in to protect them.

I'm a babysitter, and I loooooooove kids. About 2 years ago, I was at a pool party. I heard a splash, and saw just in time as a boy fell into the 11ft area. I ran over and dove in, grabbed him, and pulled him to the edge of the pool. He was about 5, and didn't know how to swim yet. When put in those situations, there is sacrifice...that is the price of happiness. To stand up for your belief or the belief of others is admirable, but need practicality. At times, we are called to be the shield of others and the sword of righteousness.

I am in general a person who can't stand to see people getting bullied or pushed around, and I've been in some fights because of this.
I am one of those "act first, think later"-persons, so I tend to not think about consequences or the possibility of me getting injured. I am not trained in any martial arts or something, but I've had a rather rough childhood and so I'm a more or less skilled fighter - but I rely more on my instincts and reflexes.

I do not think, though, that it's always good to get involved in situations that physically; in my opinion it's best to look for help/call the police instead of risking one's own health, especially if there are more people you would have to face.

The sucky thing is in my school, even if you se someone being bullied right in front of you, you can't punch the bully. If you do, you are arrested.Instead we are told to report it to the office. But my friend who was bullied reported it to the principal and they didn't do anything but tell the bully to stop. He didn't stop. So I say f*ck the system. Why can't we kick someones ass if they are doing something wrong? I can't stand it. And being the protective person I am, I want to plant a side kick in his face. But if I do, I get arrested. And I can't let that happen.

Of course there are people who do wrong and hurt people, but you can't really stop that from happening by using violence (and I mean all sorts of violence, not only kicking and hitting but also the use of words and everything else that can hurt people).

I think to a real bully it doesn't make a difference if he is told to stop with or without reason; it is difficult to change people like this, but I believe it is possible. I don't think people who bully others are "evil" or something, but I think many of them have serious problems themselves. I've helped people in situations as you have described before and i would do it again for sure. I've been hurt badly twice but both times I came out on top with no one else hurt

If I can help, I usually will but with words rather than fists. Many situations can be avoided or quelled simply with words, however if words don't work, fists are my next option. I usually try to avoid violence though, because how can you help people if you're stuck in jail, even if it's only overnight?

It's funny, because I've never been one to get a long with people, especially in groups, but when it comes to completing a task or generally doing anything, I'm always the one that makes sure everyone is keeping up and is safe. I keep an eye on everyone whenever I get the chance.
So, regardless of not getting along with most people, I'd kick someone's ass if I saw them trying to harm anyone, even an animal. Personal risk has always been at the back of my mind. I've often been in situations where, later, I realized I could have easily been hurt really badly, but then I'm almost disappointed I wasn't hurt at all. Something like battle scars, you know?

The other day i was walking back to halls, i stop to look at my phone(iPhone 5), a group of kids (16-17) see me smoking a cigarette so one of them (who looked a lot like Eric Cartman) comes up to me and asked for a cigarette, i told him it was my last one, he saw my phone and said "i should beat you for that" and shouted out to his friends to which all of them come over and one of said "we are so beating you for that phone" to witch i replied "you can f*cking try!", he then gos on to say "look i stabbed someone yesterday and I'm not afraid to stab you now", i didn't say anything then, i just stood there trying to look/be like shizuo heiwajima, he finally said "punch me round the face so i can stab you" (so he can say it was self defense) and again i stood there but said "I'm not going to punch you, if you want to start, YOU MAKE THE FIRST MOVE!", after a while (and him and his friends shouted abuse) they moved on and i was fine, no harm.

what I'm saying is when the time comes YOU NEED TO STEP UP

Dollars isn't about getting into fights, but as a kid whose been kicked in the face more than a few times i can't really say i'm opposed to violence. Fighting is something that not everyone is good at, I'm good because i used to lose a lot -_-. Of course i don't like fighting much.

I have had situations where there was a conflict between two people I knew and one was beating on the other, I stepped in to stop the fight and ended up defending the guy who got beat up, took afew hits but was able to calm the attacker down and then after that, he got taken into teacher custody, this being in high school about more than 5 years ago. I'm a yandere so being able to fight in order to protect someone is a natural state of mind for me; that being said is just a state of mind, I don't have much fighting strength I'm more of an intellectual person but if I had a weapon I could probably help someone. Regardless of all of that, if I was fighting for something or someone I'd go all out and not quit.

I would like to think i would be able to but saying you can and actually doing it when the time counts is a completely different thing.

I never fight unless it's for a good enough reason, and insuring someones safety without personal gain may sound hard for some, but if someone is in need I will help regardless of getting myself hurt.

I haven't been a dollar for very long, however I don't believe these questions have to much to do with being part of any certain group it is a question of personal character. I believe in the deepest fibers of myself that if an emergency were to arise of any situation, whether or not I had any ability to help or not, I would. I would find a way to. Yes I am a girl but I have been told I am a hell of a fighter and I am astounding in hand to hand combat, though I believe it to be a unconventional method and avoid it as much as possible I can be handy with knives .I hate telling this story and my brother always brags because he saw the whole thing but last year I witnessed some juniors two football players picking on some other kid .I didn't think I just stepped in and before I knew it I broke one of the kids arm and smashed the other ones face into the dirt....I got detention for a month and I'm pretty sure i scarred the kid they were picking on but I made the right choice.If the second kid had punched me while I broke his buddies arm I would've been screwed , I got lucky.

Honestly it depends on the situation, I necessarily don't like to get involved in other peoples business, but if someone where to be attacked or bullied or whatever in front of me I would step in to help.
For someones emotional wellbeing I would probably try to help them in any way possible, giving them a personal item that's dear to myself completely depends on the item. Violence is a last resort for us. Only in self defense or in defense of others would I use violence. Even in a situation where violence was warranted, I would try and talk the situation down.
As far as the other points, my answer is a resounding yes. I would gladly put my life and interests on the line to ensure the well being of others.

Anything worth fighting for is gonna come with a risk of dying. Having said that, I'd risk my head to help anyone out as much as I can. Life ain't worth living if you haven't put your all out on the line for someone.

In this hypothetical situation you have proclaimed, most of us would help out but in a defensive manner for they are not attempting to hurt someone. We would be attempting to dilute the situation and help whoever is in trouble escape or people. Yet in the end if it comes to it most of us are good friends with one another and eventually may need each other so we would, risk ourselves for someone no matter what.

I have help many in times of needs but I can't afford to do that anymore. I don't feel like I was used but I don't like the idea ppl feel like they appreciated as much they feel. I lost so much over gain, if humanity wasn't so selfish I would help but now it depends. I'm sure others can agree that this happen but those who regret. Don't. It was something we wanted to do out of kindness in our hearts but now we have to look for actual reasons those that want it and its only a short term help. I've already helped most people that come to me. As for the thing about fighting, I'm not proud of it but yes I have had to be in quite a few with a lot of different people for a lot of different reasons. I do believe though with all of us we can get through any almost situation reasonably but if it does arise if there is somehow no other option I also believe we are ready be it physical fighting or Cyber.

One rule me and my friends (the three of us) always had was the we maybe out gunned, out manned but never alone.

we all said it as a laugh and one day our friend got stabbed (we got a phone call from them which we heard everything including him shouting where he was).

so me and the other friend drove there and managed to get there just before this group of lads could finish what they started (now I am in no way "hard" or "brute muscle" but we stood there with him and knew that we were clearly out manned, out gunned and not alone.

all three of us live today and to this post i would actually say yes I would try to help people because sometimes the best people and friends come from unexpected events (or mottos in our case)

-'Course! But I would obviously be smart about it first and find a way to save the person with little combat or with as little injuries as possible on either side.
-Depends who it is. Even if I lose the battle, I would expect the person I was defending to shape up and win the war. But if he or she is not like that, and practically refuses to change, so I wouldn't have to do it again, then no.
-Again, it depends. Heck, I would give an item of sentimental value to a stranger. But it all depends on how they seem as a person. It's pretty easy to tell if someone will cherish that gift forever, compared to one who takes advantages of others emotions. (it all matters on body language and speech ;3)
-I'd give them advice with a side of fresh baked cookies and refreshing milk! But I would of course also give you tough love. It seems stupid to coddle someone because of what they're going through. I usually stay away from fights unless it's an obvious criminal assault. I'm not scared because I know I can kick ass so friggin hard, my victim will burp shoe leather.

Th dollars were made with the concept of helping out but avoiding the violence of typical gang violence. That said, should violence become a necessary act in order to help or save someone who could not protect themselves, I for one, would gladly aid them with violence if necessary. I suppose it would all depend on the situation, but yeah.

In my country is not that simple. Most of the criminal assaults are with guns and that kind of stuff. I would not mind if it was with a penknife, but they mostly have guns. It's very dangerous. They can kill you in a second.

A lot of us will think about something like this and say things like "yes why wouldnt i", or other things, but what people dont really take into account is the actual situation. Its nice to think that you would do something "if" this were to happen, but if's and maybes are incredibly different from the real thing.
I cant say for certain that if something were to happen where my assistance would actually do some good, that i would go for it and give it my all, but if im ever needed, or if something like that ever does happen then i hope i have the courage to do what needs to be done and to make the right choice

I'm a trained Red Cross Volunteer and I've encountered some emergencies and I can say with confidence that I'm ready to jump in in case my help is needed. As for fighting though, I don't know. I have never been in any situation where my combat skill(if I have any) is needed.

If I encounter any emergency, I'd assess the situation first, if I have advantages over the attacker or the situation, I'd help immediately..but if I'll be just jeopardizing the victim or the situation, I'd call for help.

Well people like me, who cant act in this situation could gather info about the case. I want to help, but i m better in gather info then fight, i think its important do this too

I avoid physical fights. Personally, I think the best course of action is not to aggravate the situation and to calculate the next best course of action.

However, there are cases where I am willing to put this normancy on the line. For example, someone is about to get a fatal hit or someone is about to be raped. In this case, I think it would be best to disable the assailant regardless of the circumstance, in fact, it should be prioritized.

I'm well trained at several martial arts and street fight. And on top of this I want to help too so I would definetely fight with my all. :)

Maybe I was trained differently but the only time I should ever take up arms is during life-and-death situations.

I was trained by my dad since I was a kid for that reason and only to ever use it when that situation comes up.

I have done these things my entire life. I grew up being bullied and kicked around and now all i care about is making sure it dose not happen to anyone else. One was like 2 years ago. I must say before that i like to do martials arts cause they helped me at school when i was young and for the meditation thing. At now i know Karate and Ninjitsu (Im at the throwing thing speciality).
Well, now going on the subject, i helped a friend of mine when she was assaulted at the street. It was not something epic, just a grab to the other guy and he left but i felt proud of myself at the moment.
After, this last year, i has at the bus going into my home when a old women got wound when she fell of to the bus ground. I gived her first aid (it was obligatory at school then) and waited to the ambulance so she could get picked up.

That's it. I think any moral person that knew how to control that kind of situation could do that tho.

I would definitely be willing to put myself in harms way for others if I had any reason to think it would help. However, It would be smarter to help in the ways that I were best able to - namely something more suited to planning or spreading information about an event, raising awareness, and things like that. Physical fighting isn't something that I, or many other people I imagine, have much real experience in, and engaging in a fight would probably cause more harm than good in such a case. It's not all about putting yourself in harms way, and there are many ways to help out in any given situation.

That all said, the psychology behind groups and willingness to help others is an interesting subject, and if anyone would like to read more about how it can go wrong, which I think everyone should be aware of and work on so that they don't make the same mistakes, these two pages are helpful.

I like to think that in an emergency situation I would put other's needs in front of my own, whether it's a stranger or even someone I don't particularly like. But that's something you don't know until it happens.

Even in an emergency/seeing someone being hurt/killed I'm a complete pacifist and p*ssy, there's much more capable people than I, I'd just end up adding to the body count.

We have the strength of numbers. Alone i would try to help but i would likely not accomplice anything. However if we stand together as Dollars we would me able to rise our voices together. I would love to be part of a faction of Dollars who act in a more physical manner. Not like vigilantes but would be willing to learn more martial arts, CPR/AED training, light medical training, things like that.

I live in Boston, and was working in the area when the bombs went off. I know I could have done more of a difference if I was right there when it happened, but I helped by assisting in first aid and giving people sanctuary in the local mall.

I think there is something to be said about the lives we could change by helping first responders when we can.

As I've offered before, if there is anyone in Boston, who is willing to learn self defense and some first aid, let me know. I can't certify you in CPR but I can still teach you what to do.

I personally don't have any martial arts background or any serious medical knowledge, but I'd be willing to help if the situation ever arises. Violent situations are not new to me. I have been taught all sorts of martial arts by my uncle and if the time ever arises where that would come to use to help someone in my area then I would with no doubt. I've even been kicked out of schools for misunderstandings where I was actually just protecting a friend of mine. Now I go to Oregon Connections Academy (an online school) and so I can do my schoolwork whenever during the day which makes it where I can help in a fight around here whenever and not have to deal with problems that would occur by leaving school.

Most likely, yes. If it is relevant i guess... i guess it mainly depends on the situation and if the effort is worth it. I have a few years of experience in Taekwondo so if the moment may come where I need to use self defense, I won't hesitate to.

I probably wouldn't fight, as I do my best to avoid violence as I am not the best out there when it comes to fighting, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't try to ensure someone is fine, I would do my best to stop fights, I've got a way with words which usually convince people to stop fighting and I would do anything else I can to back someone up.

I'm used to doing things outside of my comfort zone and pain is no stranger to me. Besides there's nothing I'm afraid of. I've done some of the things listed even before I joined.

1) It depends. If it came down to the wire and I thought I could take the person in in front of me, then I might fight. But if there was a chance I or someone else would get stabbed or something, then I'd try to slip away and help from behind the scenes. I don't really know how to fight, so that's not my go-to strategy for dealing with problems. My best weapon is my mind, not my muscles. :)

2) Sure. I don't have a problem trying to reason with people and I tend to be good at it. But I wouldn't really care if I convinced my opponent in the end or not, as long as I was contending for what's right and saying what I really believe.

3) Yeah. Material things aren't that important to me. I'd rather help someone out--to me, it's worth it.

4) Money is the first thing that comes to mind for me. Food, clothes, shelter, education, toys, etc. can all be gotten via money, so I think that's what I'd mainly give to someone in need.

5) I'd do what I could. Like, if someone was about to be hit by a car, I think I'd want to help, even if it meant I'd get hurt or maybe even killed trying to save them. I haven't been in that kind of situation before, but I hope that's how I'd act if I ever was. I'm not eager to die, but I think I'll go to heaven when I do, so I'm willing to lay down my life to save someone else, given the right circumstances.

6) My go-to strategy in dangerous situations is usually to get to a safe place and call the cops. It's not that I'm scared to stand up to people when I'm alone as much as it's that I know I probably won't win, and then there will be two of us in trouble instead of one.

I'm not strong or a good fighter and if I were outnumbered, I'd be at a real disadvantage. But I am good at relaying information to the authorities, directing them to the scene, and giving them an account of what I saw, because I've had to do it so many times before (cuz of people needing ambulances, people getting mugged/assaulted, people getting beaten, etc).

But the reason why I'd do any of this isn't because I'm a Dollar--it's because I'm a Christian, and I think self-sacrifice, helping others, and trying to do the right thing are all good and honor God.

I've never been in like a fist fight, but if it was something I truly cared about, like my friends and family or anything else. I certainly would fight, despite the fact I could get hurt. I'm a very stubborn person so I don't think I'd back down till I've successful protect whoever or whatever I was trying to protect.

Yes, to all of them, I may not seam like it suu~~(probs cuz of the way I talk ¬.¬) but I have been in some physical fights before, and even won some. Well, could and probably would do most of those, but my reasoning would be utterly different. Besides whit this quiz of sorts you are implying that it's dollars way to actually do these things just because we have the power, not to mention we are talking about being vigilantes now. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't like your point of view, but I like the concept,idealism of Dollars being colorless, without rules. Every person has a different view of what Dollars are to him and what he does with that name. But I do think that if you or anyone else managed to push Dollars towards this directions, the whole Dollars community would become much more organized and interesting. Just my fair opinion.

In honesty i would:
- I would be scared, but i would try my hardest to help in any situation, even if it meant getting hurt myself.
- Yes emotions, thoughts, actions mean everything in a battle and if i try my hardest, exposure will have to be made!
- Yes if i can help others with my possessions, i can guarantee safety to myself and others and well as ensure their well-being - it's almost a win / win scenario.
- I would give my ear and support to make someone happy. I may not be able to physically help someone but i know emotionally and supportive i can be a friend for someone and help others, that is my girt to you!
- I would go all the way, if it depend on me - i'm in until the end :)
- It doesn't matter who is around, if it's my responsibility and i can help i will do so.
In all honestly i cannot guarantee my reaction until i am head on in the situation - all i know is i can do my best and the time and do all i can to help. That's all i can do! Is that enough? I can only but TRY! :D

I truly think I would, depending on the situation and who I were fighting against/defending. I don't know martial arts, and yeah, I'd be pretty scared if it was irl, but I wouldn't be able to walk away from something like that. I try to help people, I really do. So again, it's not something I'd be able to turn a blind eye to.

To be honest...i can not answer this question..to risk my life to safe someone can just be seen in the real case i guess

The annoying thing about this is that it's not something j can answer outside the moment itself. I'd like to say FUCK YEAH ID DO IT, but the whole fight/flight response doesn't always work how you want it to. If I stay conscious of the whole deal then maybe I can force myself to do something when the time comes.

If I hadn't ever had the chance to be in a situation like this, my reply wouldn't be a very reliable one. However, I have been in situations along these lines. I have been in fights, been the one preventing fights, been the only person somebody could go to for some council and comfort, and expressed how I feel despite nearly everybody disagreeing with me. This is no new topic in my life. I started taking Taekwondo and some other martial arts when I was rather young to help protect others and myself. Long story short, I have fought, and I would fight. I know a lot of people wouldn't, and while I think that needs to change, I know that you have to make that change in yourself before you can go off telling everybody else it needs to change. Don't be a hypocrite...

On a total side note, judging from the grammar of the original post, we have a large number of people from all over the world, and I think as a whole the people of this cite have the collective power to make a pretty huge difference.

We are the dollars so of course I would. I'm not the strongest fighter, but I can shoot a gun, weild a knife and expertly use it (much to the extent of say izaya) I have helped people in the name of the dollars before and I would do it again. If I one day received a call that I was needed, the dollars were at war. I wouldn't hesitate. Its not about using your fists or a weapon at the end of the day. I mean, look at the dynamic of the good dollars from DRRR!! Most people didn't fight but they were able to cause distractions, lead a victim to saftey through a network of regular people, find the people who could fight or even use there vast numbers to diffuse a dicey situation. That being said, anyone in the dollars can fight. You don't even have to raise a fist.

This is rather difficult for me to answer. I've always been and very much considered myself a loner, someone who looks out for themselves and doesn't rely on anyone else. I suppose this largely has to do with the fact that I've never really received much help from anyone before. Because I've always relied on myself, I don't consider myself much of leader or a "go-getter". I'm not a hero, and I don't try to be one.

But I think this is also why I'd stop to help someone in need. I understand what it feels like to feel alone, with no one to talk to and no one to rely on. I used to get bullied from time to time. Made fun of, and pushed around in the hallways. Kids would take my food at lunchtime, and they'd steal my work. I attempted to solve this problem by putting on a mask. I'd disguise myself as someone else in order to fit into the small, narrow society of school. I could never tell any of my peers in fear that I'd be outcast once again, and I knew adults wouldn't understand how truly inhospitable and cruel children and their society can be. I'd go home with a sick feeling every evening, and I felt no motivation to work. I felt I was all alone, and I hated my life at that point.

I don't want anyone else to feel like I did. I truly wouldn't wish it on anyone, because that kind of lifestyle is not enjoyable in the least. It hurts to be alone. So, while I may not be a hero and take a bullet for someone at a moment's notice, I think I'd do a lot of the things up there on a slightly smaller scale. You don't need a weapon or some enormous sense of justice to want to help people and make a difference. I don't want anyone to be or feel alone. While I may not change the course of history, I'll do as much as I can to achieve that with the power I have right now, though tiny it may be.

I would always put my life out there on the line if someone needed my help. Them being a dollar or not. I'm not that person that will just look away because they 'pretend to not see it and don't want to do anything about it'. I may be weak,but I sure as hell wont hesitate to help anyone who needed it. We as the dollars cound/can make a huge difference out their.

The reason I joined The Dollars is because of all the questions you asked. If I didn't think I could do it, I wouldn't be here. Over the past few weeks I've been making a system with all of the Dollars in my city. We've managed to all stay completely unknown to each other but we constantly work together to solve problems. I think that if a handful of us can do that, then the group as a whole should be capable of the same.

Long story short, i'm not an anime hero and i'm not willing to risk anything to protect someone or something i know little about.

Well, aren't you all optimisic? 9 times ou of 10, we'd all run the second somebody pulled a gun on us, myself included. There is nothing wrong with that. At most, I guess I would create a diversion and give the other person a chance to run away, or at least call the authorities. I'm not a monster, but I'm not going to put myself in danger; there are people I have to come home to. I'm not going to fuck them up because I decided to play hero.

1) Depends. If it could get me killed, I wouldn't just jump in. I have people important to me at home, I can't afford to kick the bucket.

3) That really depends... I'd like to think I'm not materialistic, but there are trinkets from people and pets that have passed away that are very dear to me. All that I have left as a reminder of those people and pets.
4) Eeh, well, I'd go to great lengths, be there for them as much as possible, support them..... there's always a limit though. Obviously, I'd go to the greatest lengths for the people most important in my life, like my family.
5) See Q1. Otherwise, if it meant helping out someone who, say, is already injured, I would do whatever I can.
6) I hate to say it, but having friends around would give me more courage than alone by myself.

I'm capable of doing only what I am capable of doing. If I can help, I will, however, one must consider all options in order to do so. If you fight and end up on the ground crawling alongside the person you were trying to save, you had little to no impact. You must save in what way you can, but if you end up dead or failing, then what good of a hero were you after all?

If you've been here awhile then you'd know that there have been SEVERAL posts like this before and EVERY single one has been shot down for reasons explained above. lol I consider myself a formidable fighter. I wweigh 159 and am 14. I'm 5'8 and a boxer. I also know a little muay thai

I carry a knife and can hold my own against the strongest guys around. I also love humans, so whatever makes them feel better.

I've taken martial arts classes for a good two years, however I dislike fighting if it isn't necessary. If something happened where I needed to use it I think I could.

I have had no formal training, but I have been put in high stress situations. I am unsure of my abilities at times - as I am sure we all are at times. Nevertheless, I try not to hesitate when someone is in need. There have been times I have failed at this, fear sets in, but I don't forget it. And the next time, I try my damnedest to swallow that fear and do something. I would rather die young with a full life then old with many regrets of a life not lived.

Never been in a fight in my life, but if it was to help someone else and I didn't help i shouldn't be in the dollars so I'd help in any way I can despite odds and numbers.

I'd fight if anything happened in my area and I'd ensure the safety of those I see fit to protect. I'm no martial artist, nor do I have any training in the ways of properly fighting. I can, however, take down people much larger than I am, and I can and will fight just to see someone safe and where they need to be.

-Yup, I've already thrown desks, chairs, and people to defend someone else. I will do anything within my power to ensure that the people I care for live. I've hurt people to prove a point and I've fought losing battles in order to protect those under my care.

Anybody who needs help, regardless I will help them. I am not going to fight a losing fight though, I will only go help when I know I am able to outsmart them and win. It is not worth for two to die when one can survive is what I believe in.Even though it is unlikely for me to lose in brains ;3

I pack a knife and can hold my own against the toughest guys in town. I'll be fine if it ever comes to that, but I'd prefer to outsmart and humiliate them.

I fight for what I believe is right. Of course I don't fight without evidence or reasoning for why I am fighting. But when it comes in times of need standing up for what you believe is best to better the world. BE YOU DOLLARS

I scored in the 90th to 95th percentile as someone who avoides conflict and violence in general, so it would be a lie to say that i'd be quick to join to fight. That of course doesn't mean that I wouldn't try every other way to try and help someone in need.

I fight for what I believe in. I would prefer not to fight, but if it is what I have to do then I will. I would protect my family, friends,and anybody that were in trouble. That's the kind of person I am. I would also keep fighting even if I am losing I will keep fighting. I do not give up easily.

I fight for my friends. I consider the Dollars to be my friends. So I would help in any way I could with my limited power.

I would be willing. I am trained professionally and know a few other dollars who train with me that would be willing to fight for something we believe in

I would help out until the end even if it was for a stranger but I would make that person my friend even if we haven't met.

I may be not of much use... but I'll do the best I can to help people that need it. I'm not that brave in doing things but if someone is hurting because I'm not doing anything than I'm willing to help.

I'm not going to put my crew out there, but for awhile now we have been stomping out criminal acts in our local area. All the news videos or bulletins are taken down off the net. "For encouraging vigilantes in the making to become real." But will willing help, and will not take credit for helping others I hate it. and if anyone on this post is in it for glory. I'm not very strong physically, but I consider myself to be mentally strong. Even so, I would fight to the death to help an innocent person. I'd help to the best of my ability in any situation. One because that's who I am, and two, because I believe that is what us, The Dollars, should do.

No matter the risk and no matter the cost, I will try to help someone in need, friends, fellow Dollars and even strangers. If I'm able to help, that's enough for me.
