Each person sees the individual people here differently. For example,keep in mind this will sound ignorant and stupid, I saw you all as just ;ittle computer programs until today. It had never crossed my mind that you were all people sitting behind you computer with your own opinions, thoughts, and emotions, until today.

I read threads here and see so many different views on the individuals in The Dollars. Some people think we're hypocrites. Some people think we're bad people. I want to here what all of you think. I have yet to find this thread, so tell me what you think!

I think we're all just that. Individuals. We are all different, some of us are hypocrites, some of us are bad people, some of us are anime geeks, some of us are thugs, the variety of Dollars members is too great to generalize us. We are different but at the same time we are all alike. We want to belong. We don't want a "color" defining us. We come together to share ideas and discuss opinions without judgement or prejudices that are beyond outdated. As individuals I haven't the slightest idea who any of you are. However, as Dollars I feel like we are all friends, very good friends.

I think the fact that we are all so diffrint, is what makes this group so special. I know that theres a lot of arguments and what not on this site but even thats amazing- just to see all of the ideals and feelings that people have.

We aren't just an online community. We're something much more.
We can't be described as a group or internet society.

Yes, I do agree that we are all individuals. And maybe it's becuase I've already mulled this over that 2 doesn't really phase me. I've already thought of each member as a person behind a computer screen. I try to get a little of your personality out of a post... This sounds creepy, but I really try to get a sense of what you are like just by the way you word things... I don't know if anyone else does that, I've never really talked about i before.

Anyways, lets talk about what makes the average dollars member. Considering that DRRR isnt a very well known show, youre probably a pretty big anime freak. I consider anime fans to be a bit different from your average person... Why? Well, while we may act the same around other people, it's when were alone that we shine. Most animes, like DRRR deal woth important issues and ideas. To me, what really makes an anime is the ideas and concepts it displays and toys with. Watching a really good anime show can change a person's life, it can alter your perception of the world. We carry around the thoughts and lessons each and every character teaches us, and silently apply them into our lives. Ive notoced that about dollars members. We are intelligent, we like to discuss important issues and ideas, and we all bring our seperate points of view to the table. We learn from each other, and we learn from ourselves.

That's what makes a dollars member.

I think we are just a community that was built on connecting with new people and sharing ideas. Any emotional argument is subjective, everyone has their own feelings about everything.

i belive this is a good not only as a fan base, but also as people who want to make a change, because alone there is little we can do but together near nothing can stop us. i know many dont see us as much more then people who sit around looking at posts and being dorking like that, but people really do good on here, and when i see that i get a sense of pride. i like to belive in the power that humans have to make the choices to be the good guy rather then the bystander or the bad guy. that choice makes us unique and powerful. it may also be what makes up fight agenst are selves but if we all stood by and let things happen we wouldn't be who we are, saving people, helping people and changing the world. continue to make me proud dollars!!!!!

I think being a Dollar, we must think not only about ourselves and not think that there are no real Dollars and do not think they are just any website programmers, we should think of the good benefits of being a Dollar, you can help people or even the world with this power, to be a Dollar.

I second. Even the people I don't get along with I feel like are very close friends of mine. We are all different people, and yet, we are all the same. I think "We are Dollars" is the only way to sum it all up.

This whole thread perfectly demonstrates what being a Dollar encompasses. As I read down the fifty or so replies, I saw EVOLUTION! The pure and wonderful evolution of ideas. That's my take on what the Dollars accomplish (other than all the awesome ideas you guys had, of course). It started with an open-ended opinion(i.e. >>1) and by the time it's finished we've got a compound of 50 different opinions all rolled into one. To summarize, The Dollars create an environment in which ideas can easily be shared, added to and spread throughout the world without ridicule. Anyways, I'm gonna stop now before I start rambling.

One of my favorite things about the Dollars is the acceptance that we get here. As anime fans, some of us are bullied, or our thoughts are quickly dismissed, sometimes by our own families(well, that's what my friends and I have experienced). Here our ideas are welcomed, discussed and taken seriously. I think that's what Dollars fans are all about. Talking about, discussing, and sharing ideas to make the world and ourselves better. (Sorry if I was rambling)

Lol. I would to, but I'm the only Dollar in my town. So now I just think "someone left their change.... That sucks from them."

I like to think of this gang as a way of bringing people all over the world together in a common cause to help each other.
Also, @Erike; I'm the only Dollar in my town also; well, not counting my sister.

Despite not knowing any of you, I like to think of everyone here are all like-minded. We may share different ideals or hobbies or interests or what-not, but there's something that makes us all similar in a way, though what that is I don't know.

I too am the only Dollar in my area, at least that I know of, and I sure wish that wasn't the case.

I might not know who you guys are but I'm glad that I'm not the only one..Sometimes it's loneliness that kills me in the inside but after being part of the dollars and seeing this post it made me realize that even though we are all different we are also the same.

Same here, it's good to know that despite the differences we all have we have this one thing that can tie us together as a group, even without needing to know things like people's names.
