This is the Texting/email service that I have fixed up.

Now if you want to receive Text updates, enter your number in.
If you want to receive Email updates, enter your email in.
If you want both, do both. Easiest way for that is to open up 2 web browsers and/ or windows.


Now after doing that, for the phone, please text to BOTH of the following:

Text THIAMOR to 84483 to receive alerts from BBS.
Text THEBBS to 84483 to receive BBS alerts from BBS.


This way it'll make sure your phone obtains the alerts.

Next, please locate at the top of the page, the 'admin login' and enter the following:

Name: Anonymous
Pass: 123abc

Then you will obtain your own admin abilities.

Afterwards, send your phone number to the following email address. theBBS@mail.com

Then I will enter your number into a remoate messaging function. After that is done, I'll send a text message/email alert saying
"Text 84483 with the command "send", your keyword, and your message."


This way you can send alerts to everyone or the group, from your phone.


I needed to create it's own topic because of all the info you needed to know.

general form: send "keyword" "message"

examples:

send thebbs hello everyone

send thiamor texting is fun

send thebbs i like fish

"thiamor" and "thebbs" both work as the keyword as above.

Question, what is the difference between sending it to thebbs or thiamor? Do they both go to the same place?

yeah i think so. whenever i have used either of them, i recieve both of them, so I assume it goes to the same person.
although it is possible that one might only send to the group that can send and one might just send to all, so i am not 100% sure.

THEBBS is the BBS's groups. THIAMOR is the entire thing. But it is best to use both.

Yeah, there is a topic about it. So let's not post irrelevant shit on here. I will, though, post that link as a text/email alert so people can see it.

I've come upon a decision.

That being, when I give trusted people "Super Admin" status, we can start allowing people, firstly from the BBS, to make Text Advertisements.

They have to pay a monthly payment of:
$10.00 per month, or, 25 dollars for 3 months.

This money will go into a few different things, saved up into a Pay-Pal account.

1. Saved up for the 'Dollar Day' meet up.
2. Saved up to help better ourselves when making the Wristbands.
3. Saved up to help me get my shirt shop together, slowly. So then we have a BBS shop for clothing. Specially designed based on what you want.


10 dollars a month is small, but adds up to quite a bit when we get enough people doing it at once. Same for 25 dollars for 3 months.


What do you think? Give ideas on HOW to make it better. Not why it's bad to ask for the money. You can, but I'd advise against it.

With the trusted admin, we can take people off the texting list who doesn't pay and log their number down.

They can post as many differing advertisements as they so wish, as long as they pay the initial fee. It's sort of like a Membership with special functions, rather than pay for each turn, so to speak.

I received an e-mail to tell me to look at the latest thread. Does this mean I have the functions to text the group now, or does this mean I'm illegible?

Also, 120 Dollars a year may not be WORTH it, but it is worth it, to spend only 10 a month (when you wish to do this on any given month), to be able to post as many ads as you feel you'd need to post.

You can continue to post however much posting you wish to do. So don't worry.

But if it's advertising, we'll ask if you wish to join membership. If you refuse, we'll ask you to stop. If you don't, we'll delete you out of both groups.

To stop Alerts, text stop to cancel all alerts to 84483.

to turn them on again, I think all you need to do is to text to:

If you type passed the text cap, it'll still send it to the chat logs like a normal post, without cutting things off.

Thus meaning if you want to hold a longer conversation via texts, do so, then just look at the link when/if you can.

Ok, if someone could please help me out with this, that would be awesome!
Ok so first of all, when i input my number into the website, I NEVER get a verification code. I have done this several times over the past few days and i still haven't received anything.
I tried putting in my email instead, and I am getting emails with the messages going back and forth, but whenever I try to respond, its seems like no one gets them. also it seems like everyone talking has a nickname, and i dont know how to do that!
If someone could please explain what to do that would be awesome! Thanks :)

I'm guessing your service provider is not accepted by this, and that may very well be the reason you don't get the code.

But try to directly do this:

Email your number to theBBS@mail.com.

Then I'll add you. Once doing so, I'll post on here for you to do the following:

Text THEBBS to 84483 to receive BBS alerts from BBS.

Then:

I've not had the chance to check for new messages on my email, so that may be the reason.

Also you can't change the name. But I do plan, to make a group per individual, thus when someone texts your group via getting the private keyword, they can talk back and forth to individuals.

If you did read, you'd know it's not for people JUST using it. It's for people willing to post advertisements once there is enough people on there, that it'd help them out.

Seems I broke TERMS of the texting service, so they deleted my account. It's gone, yet I didn't break any fucking thing.

I emailed them to send me copies of what terms I broke, and copies of it SHOWING me doing it. If not, I plan to take this up with the owner(s). If they would rather me not, I said they can just restore my account.

Well they gave me a new site to try, and said their site wasn't meant to be a chatting service. Which they shouldn't allow so many people to be allowed to have their numbers added, or subscribe to it at once, if it wasn't meant for it. I'm waiting to get all the Email addresses and Phone numbers used, from them, so I can copy it over.

If anyone can help, I need help looking for a free to use site, that allows the creation of texting groups online. Just like the one I was using, but hopefully allows you to ALSO send to individuals in the group.
