The dollars is an organization made to protect the world I know, but what do we mean to eachother. I mean, most of us have never even met eachother, but I feel so much closer to everyone since I joined...
Would any of you guys consider us a family? I'm curious...

I would. We may see each other everyday and not know it. But we do look out for eachother, provide emotional and sometimes physical support. A lot of people get a long really well wiht each other. Even the trolls (Sleepology) but we care as if we are blood related. Brothers and sisters. As if we are moving to a greater cause. For the improvement of humanity.

If i took that too far just let meh know.

Honestly? You're just a bunch of people I talk to over the internet. I don't see you as family, because I don't know you. I personally can't develop a relationship with strangers. I mean, if you can instantly, good for you. I just can't. You can't trust anything, especially on the internet.

And on this site, where it's easy to troll, take advantage of others due to the fact people want to emulate the anime and be do gooders, it's damn well easy to take advantage of a lot of you in an instant. This is a sociopath's dream place.(I was just finishing a unit on sociopathy in my Psych class, which is why I said it.)

I kinda find the dollars as a sorta family. I hate the noobs, babies. Look up to the wise speaking members, older siblings. And want to make the admin pleased, parents. And shoot the trolls, intruders.

I think we're, in some sorts, a family. Sure, we're all anonymous, but, at least we all help each other and nice to eac other... Besides the trolls. :P

As dysfunctional and loud this website can get, it's really my favorite internet community to be a part of. It's fun, and I suppose those who know each other's personality on here to an extent will act like a close group that has known each other for a while. That said, I don't really consider it a "family," I have one for that purpose. But as far as fun, entertaining, and always silly goes, this takes the cake. And Bread.

This BBS is also my favorite community. While family-like relationships aren't present, I definitely have a great amount of respect and some admiration for the members. I think it's all you really need. If you've ever been on 4chan, you'll notice that nobody really recognizes each other. There are tripcodes and etc, but most people remain as Anonymous.

That's actually one of the reasons why I like the BBS more than 4chan. Well that, and the fact that the BBS is less confusing, more organized, nicer looking (layout wise), and there's no 'random porn' in the boards. ( COUGH /b/ )

Indeed. The relationships between everyone here are nothing like a family. It's a choice to be here. Family kind of sticks to you and you put up with them, whether you like it or not.

I wouldn't say Dollars is a family, so much as a very tight-knit online community/group. It's got a lot more substance than a lot of other places I've been over the years, yet it isn't trashed with useless stuff. (a la 4chan)

If I'm bored, I know I can come here to get a good laugh or a good read. And the people here are friendly, as long as you adhere to the given rules and pay attention to stuff, but that's not difficult. For that, I do value this site, and want to be part of the community. That's all.

Look, although it's sort of mission to help other people and do good things, none of us aren't obilgated to do any of that. Otherwise the whole "Do what you want." thing would be wasted words.

If we're family? That depends on the individual him/herself. I consider us to be a group of people tied together by a similar interest. Other Dollars would immediately say yes and others would say blah blah.

To be honest, I feel like everyone here is more family than my real family. So, I guess, yes ^^ We're all a tad (if not completely) nuts but we all use it in a good way. In real life, I always get left out of things because people think I'll end up messing things up because of my "mental disorder" but here, since everyone's the same, I can actually say the things I wanna say, take part in small but great things (the missions for example) and other things without looking like a total freak. *wipes invisible tear of happiness*

I say even if we do not know, we can still say that we are even closer. Others say that we are a family and others that its not worth the trouble. I croisen that. I can't say we're here to protect the world (i realise how old the thread is) it's more like a community that either have the same goal and ideals as the anime itself or want to make new friends or share information with like minded people. But in a sense you could call us a family, say like friends whom you consider family or something along those lines, though how you interpret this thread may be entirely didifferent.
