1 Name: Mg1210 : 2012-01-23 19:40 ID:o0PtQWlJ [Del]

This is really bad guys.
I heard this from a Dollar on Facebook:

MegaUpload - Closed.
FileServe - Closing does not sell premium.
FileJungle - Deleting files. Locked in the U.S..
UploadStation - Locked in the U.S..
FileSonic - the news is arbitrary (under FBI investigation).
VideoBB - Closed! would disappear soon.
Uploaded - Banned U.S. and the FBI went after the owners who are gone.
FilePost - Deleting all material (so will leave executables, pdfs, txts)
Videoz - closed and locked in the countries affiliated with the USA.
4shared - Deleting files with copyright and waits in line at the FBI.
MediaFire - Called to testify in the next 90 days and it will open doors pro FBI
Org torrent - could vanish with everything within 30 days "he is under criminal investigation"
Network Share mIRC - awaiting the decision of the case to continue or terminate Torrente everything.
Koshiki - operating 100% Japan will not join the SOUP / PIPA
Oh my god...
I'm going to quote another Dollar:
"The world is about to get as bad as you think it is."

With all of this going down, I think it might be a good idea to make a thread about ways around this, if one doesn't already exist.

Primarily my idea is to list sites and programs that rip things straight from youtube.

If this gets enough interest, I'll track down some more (I've already got several sites opened and I'm skimming them) sites that rip audio and video from youtube and make a thread about them all. And post them in either main/technology.

TL;DR: Would it be in everyone's interest for me to make a thread for sites/programs that RIP from youtube? If so, which section? Main, or technology?

Torrentz.eu. Hide your IP adress though by using a proxy. If they notice an increase in your bandwith, they WILL monitor you. DOWNLOAD ALL YOUR SHIT NOW before it gets too late.

This is fuckin rediculous. I refuse to live like this. I hate this bullshit.

Fuck everything about the united states. Congress. and most importantly, Mr. Lamar smith.

Who wants to bet he has already received death threats?

I hate living here. There is no freedom. Only an illusion. 1984 and Brave New World are becoming realer and realer by the second. We are slowly losing all of our freedoms and don't realize it.

i recently used rapidshare so i don't think its closed yet/

22 Name: Kurona !qQsdAJWyQw : 2012-01-23 22:11 ID:YPGtK1Ll [Del]

I recommend that everyone pickup a 500gb H.D. at walmart. torrent and download all the anime you plan to watch for the next months cause this is getting bad!!!

23 Name: theoriginaltofu !DktO7SGKJg : 2012-01-23 23:25 ID:qK8qZD12 [Del]

i'm not sure about the authenticity of this post but this is getting ridiculous. i don't want to point fingers, but it seems to me that the government is protecting the people who need it least. don't get me wrong, without producers we wouldn't have a lot of the music we have today, but their salaries are INSANE. consumers will be forced to buy incredibly overpriced media if any of this passes. also >>21, file sharing companies from different parts of the world are also being prosecuted under U.S. law, so Canada probably isn't an option

24 Name: Kurona !qQsdAJWyQw : 2012-01-24 00:51 ID:YPGtK1Ll [Del]

I just came up with idea to violate the SOPA bill. With torrent sites files don't exist on the web, they exist in the seeder's HDD. So if you have the torrent command file thingy you can just email that to the person who wants the data. That would avoid the illegal sites ,though trackers still exist. With Gmail I've sent 10MB sized songs to friends, but stuff that gets emailed also get monitored :/ maybe I can use Low Orbit Ion Cannon, like Anonymous except not to hack the site, but to overload the trackers. A problem would be communication, which is the whole reason torrent sites exist. Well everyone hit me with feedback on this or tell me more efficient ways to break the future law :3 And everything you guys say matters in a sense.

WE HAVE TO FIGHT BACK!!! There is a plan to fight these inustices; it is called the Black March! Basically, we get as many people as possible to not purchase any forms of media entertainment for the entire month of March; this will a giant whole in the world economy and show the governing powers that We Will NOT put up with their unneccesary censorship. Aren't people getting just a bit too panicky?

I mean, maybe it's because I live in a place pretty far from the US and also almost never use those sites, but I don't see file sharing actually disappearing. It's too wide spread, there's too much demand for it and there are a lot of clever people out there who can and are willing to find ways around things.

I don't think I'm gonna wake up one morning and find out there's nowhere to download the newest episode of whathaveyou. I just don't see it happening.

41 Name: HOODIE : 2012-01-24 09:27 ID:3mi7H7MP [Del]

its not just about music or anime or movies on the internet its about our freedom. isnt this what life is about freedom sharing ideas? the internet is nothing more than letting your friend borrow a movie or a book. its file sharing so what next theres going to be a government official included with the purchase of a book or maxazine from the store??

42 Name: Anonymous : 2012-01-24 09:34 ID:5LK/pJI3 [Del]

We need to figure out a way to protect the website and the members from The U.S. because we could all be in danger. This is getting more and more serious by the day. No one else is out trying to stop them. So it only means one thing for us. We have to mobilize!
