What can I do as a minor in this government system? I'm don't fit the standard by which minors are judged, so I want to gather more information and use it in a way that I can help stop this.

Game companies are starting to come together to strong arm the ESA in dropping it's support of SOPA. For those who don't know the ESA is a group which in they essentially speak on behalf of the game companies as a whole. So when they say they support it, the companies are suppose to follow suit. However most of the companies don't agree with their stance and have decided that they will drop out of attendance at E3 (the ESA's biggest source of income) unless they change their stance on it.

I'm pretty sure that even if a bunch of petitions are signed regarding it, it'll still go through. Currently, especially with something as drastic as this, I don't think Americans have very much say right now. There's a reason they passed the National Defense Authorization before this. The whole "internet censorship" thing has been floating around for a good 6 months, at least. So I think all we can do about it is let t happen. Everything is gonna be shitty in the states for a while, prolly another 10 years and we'll end up revolting. But after all that happens, everything will slowly start to get better. Well, I have an idea we could a petition or something and get our classmates,friends, teachers, and fellow dollars to sign it. Then again, I'm not sure if it'll work.

I'm starting a petition for my school. Although, I think it'll be easier to leave posters to existing petitions, so that THOSE ones will get larger. Google's petition being the first I'd post around, with the URL and a QR if possible.

It is more of a concept than an actual tangible entity, and the Internet relies on a physical infrastructure that connects networks to other networks. There are many organizations, corporations, governments, schools, private citizens and service providers that all own pieces of the infrastructure that make up the internet, but there is no one entity that owns it all. How can the US government decide to block access to parts of the internet that the US government does not even own? The SOPA act is a direct violation to people's right to freedom of knowlege and information, And for that violation the United States government is a disgrace to the land of the free, The free that every United States soldier has fought or died for. The United States government is essentually telling the people of the United States that they are free to do as the government tells them. If people do not follow their rules they will arrest them for making an attempt to learn. But the government will tell the media that these people are getting arrested for acts of treason, domestic terrorism, or internet piracy.
As for the United States government. Who gave you the right to regulate the people's right to think outside the box and use the internet as they see fit? If we cut off global internet, shouldn't we also cut off all foreign affairs? Should we hinder globalization completely? Perhaps all other World Trade Centers are acts of terrorism by existing, as they use the Internet for commerce. The ambiguity of this bill should terrify you.

If you speak, they have to listen. If they do not listen, Their blatant disregard for the people will not go un-noticed, and is not acceptible. Doing nothing is the worst thing you can do.
