Not really on the origins, but I do belive we've basically stopped evolving. Natural selection being used to kill off genetic mutations and less beneficial genes so that beneficial adaptations survive longer, to pass down that adaptation... With all the medicine and protection we have, natural selection pretty much doesn't pertain to humans anymore.

Lol. Did you not read that? In order for evolution to fully occur, natural selection must take place in order to kill animals of a species that lack the adaptation in question, so that only animals that carry the gene for said adaptation remain. That's not happening with people (Save for third world countries).

We as humans are still micro and on a long term Macro evolving. Never the less in 1st world countries people who can stay awake longer and do more work with little sleep are "preferred" and natural selection would favor those people, we are still evolving on the long and short term

origins of humans meaning before we became the genetic structures you see today, well evolution still occurs it always occurs, but it is in super minute levels because no longer does genetic mutations contribute to deaths.

So yeah, crises any change not occurring in a controlled environment is called natural selection, anything where it is just reactive to environments so yes we are still evolving. Saying we no longer evolve is as presumptuous as saying humans have now mastered over natural basic instincts.

Humans can no longer evovle because we no longer need to adapt to our surroundings, we change our surrounding to suit us now.

Evolution does not require natural selection to occur. Evolution can occur through 3 main means. Evolution can occur due to natural selection, genetic drift, and mutations.

Evolution doesn't have any long-term goals.

Regardless of what you all think evolution still is occurring for humans.

evolution is a proven fact people can choose what they want to belive

i don't believe that evolution has stopped, genes tend to always mutate together when a child is born, some have another leg, another arm, or even heads babies being combined together. it is a sure fact that we can possibly evolve into something greater. and to add for the adjusting of the surroundings, global warming means that carbon dioxide i getting more into the world, too much of that can kill us, so are bodies would find some way to adjust to the larger and larger amount of carbon dioxide, so there could the next evolutionary form, a human form that can live in a high density of carbon dioxide.

Well i mean we see in different people like those who rely on their survival to climb Mount everest daily, they have awesome resilience heck they even climb hike with just flip flops, survival and adaptation is the songs to which evolution dances to of course ya gotta throw in sex and the ones who get to carry over their genes.

But yeah i am finishing up this show part by part and i swear this is the most interesting video on Evolution, they should show this in public schools unlike the retarded dated shit they always show, which just grazes the surface of evolution.

i know right >>20 dude i think everyone needs to watch this, this video summarizes what we can do with genetics during birth and what makes us so different from other animals. It actually doesnt lie much in how different DNA is but actually in how long and how often "switch" genes are flipped during the embryonic stage.

And only two reasons why apes and humans are so different, one is aposeable thumbs and the other is that their jaws are powerful because of their diet, it actually caused the muscles in the head to pull in more thus overtime reducing the room for the brain to grow.
