2 months ago, I never thought I would tell anyone this. I didn't think that I would be able to explain it because, no one believed me. I was walking home from school, and I saw a gang trying to rape a girl. However, I didn't want to stand back. I was nervous, but I wanted to say, " Hey, leave her alone! " and be all heroic. I sorta did the same thing, but it was more like, I got my butt kicked. I was knocked to the ground, pummeled with steps to the face, kicks in the stomach, and multiple punches landed on me. Police Sirens came. They started to leave, knowing they were going to be in trouble if they did.
However, the girl I tried to save earlier came back, because she hide in a spot where she wasn't noticeable. She helped me go to a hospital, knowing that I wasn't in great shape. There, I was greeted by doctors and was ensured I would be safe. The girl left, and never explained herself, but she knew I saved her. I didn't think I did anything wrong except, I stood up for her. My parents knew about this.. but they were upset of the damage done to me. I never got to know the girls name. And when I came back.. My life was still normal. Friends thought I was dreaming.. And so I kept it know.
Just let it be known that.. A simple kind act or action can help others. Let every dollar member think of this not as a sob story, but motivation to help other people.

what matters is that you did this out of your own free will because you knew it was the right thing to do at the time.
I have faced a similar experience before but i was lucky enough to have a friend with me at the time, they ran away lol and the police mistakenly arrested us but the girl put in a good word for us.
What you did though was more brave and heroic because you were facing those guys alone.
