I found this essay fascinating, really gives depth into how the many people around me thinks. My perfectionism causes me to be sloppy, never getting anything done. While the bare-minimum casual folks doesn't bat an eye when something isn't immediately beneficial to them, resulting in what we deem neat. The fact that it was published in 1980 hits harder that this has been true for all ages.
