Greetings, Stag here. I’m making this post because I would like to find someone to help with my writings, as I truly do believe the stories I come up with have potential, but if you have read anything of mine then you can probably tell that something is missing, so I don’t feel like they’re at a level I should be showing them to everyone yet.

I want to clarify now that this will be an investment. I haven’t written much compared to what I have planned, but it’s still a fair amount. I am sorry for asking a lot. Obviously, I won’t ask for anyone to commit to anything blindly or to follow through on anything their heart isn’t in, so at any time if it doesn’t feel right then feel free to opt out. I won’t judge or be offended or anything. I think my writing style and approach isn’t for everyone and since this is an investment it is completely understandable.

That being said, here’s a little about how I write and the main issues I tend to have and what my stories are like.

I have a lot of projects and ideas that I’ve been collecting, as I’ve been interested in writing for maybe 7-8 years now. I tend to focus more on notes and ideas, rather than writing, as I still haven’t quite found my rhythm or quite figured out the best approach.
I will have a link to my Wattpad at the end, but I will explain a bit about one of the projects I’m working on, which are the four storylines on this Wattpad.
The main approach I take to these series is to come up with a kind of base setting that I find interesting and unique and then use characters and stories within the setting to further expand on it. In this case, this series is focused on non-human people, where the few differences they have result in them having completely different ways of life and of viewing things. The first issue I have is that I am unsure how to structure this style, as I like having multiple storylines in the same universe that connect with one another. The base species I came up with for this series I have 3 storylines on my Wattpad that I have started.
My writing style and stories tend to be quite slower paced in nature, not being too eventful or action-packed, but focusing more on inner thoughts and feelings as the characters go through the strange situation or life they are in. I don’t know if it is correct to say that they are boring, as the ideas within them I truly think are interesting and very unique, but they might still not be the easiest thing to read. The other issue, with this series specifically, is that they tend to start off a bit confusing, as I am unsure how to introduce the species well, especially since I likely have to introduce it multiple times, for each storyline of that species.
I would recommend reading The Quiet Pair first, which is the 4th storyline I have on my Wattpad. It is about completely different species to the first three, and I think is both easier to read blindly, but also a better example of what my stories and writing is like. It is also the storyline I have written the most recently, as well as the longest storyline I have on there currently (which still isn’t that long, only 21,000+ words at the time of this post). It also shows a bit more of how I plan on expanding this universe as it isn’t limited to any one species so it works very well as a stand-alone series.

Before I go, I would also like to clarify a few things. I have something called aphantasia, which is the inability to be able to visualise things. You will likely notice that I rarely write anything about visuals, and this is likely why. One day I hope to work with someone, perhaps an artist, who can help design the visuals and related pieces I may be missing, so feel free to ask if you’re interested in that, but for now I’m more focused on the writing. I also should mention that I don’t read much, and might partly be related to aphantasia, but it does mean that I don’t take the same writing approach that others usually would learn. My interest isn’t in writing, it’s in stories, so I am not interested in things like fancy phrases or sentences, and maybe this means that I’m not “writer material” but it is likely still the best medium for me to use to create these stories. I would like to learn a lot and stop being so stubborn, so if anyone were to work with me, I would appreciate it if you could be as brutally honest as possible, as in this upcoming year I hope to make a lot of progress.
Also, I have no interest in money. I have a lot I wish to write and do, but this is something that means too much to me for me to add extra biases of relying on it for money or having time-constraints or anything. If it goes that way, then sure, but for now my main priority is making these stories as best as I can, both as high quality and true to their stories as they can be.
