Resting Days;
A girl left her house this morning
Her father called behind her
“Goodbye! I love you!”
The girl waved without turning back
Looked to check her shoes were tied
Then carried on to the bus line
When she came back the afternoon
Her house was up in flames
And never did she get to say
“I love you” to her father
Before his resting days
