I have read Fitzgerakd, Shakespeare and Nietzche but also some Japanese classics. My favorite books are:
1. No Longer Human by Osamu Dazai
2. Kokoro by Natsume Soseki
3. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
4. The Prince by Machiavelli
5. The death of Ivan lynch by Leo Tosloy
My favorite English author is George Orwell, although I like his essays more than his novels). If you have only read his novels then I suggest you should read his essays.
I haven't read all of the books published by the authors I have mentioned. I usually only read one novel by each author and then move on. I do plan however to read some other of the works of these authors. I have never heard of that author called Ondaatje who is he? What has he written about?
