I also read fanfiction. I really like HETA, A matter of course and a Matter of time from the hetalia fanfictions and Marie D. Suessse and the mystery new pirate age from the one piece fandom ( the last one looks lame but it is supposed to be a rather dark parody of the 'girl falls into ... cliché). All of those are Oc stories without romance and a serious plot. The only fanfiction on the list with romance/yoai is HETA but it doesn't really matter in the storyline
