Hey, the other day I reread this book called The Giver and in all honesty it's a well written book with a good plot and an interesting cast of characters. Its cool that they live in a socity thats not unlike comunism and the whole "no choices" thing is really crazy to me. No weather and no color would be an extreally boring life. I thought it was alot about how we should be able to make mistakes and learn from them in order to grow as people. But this book is very much open for interpretation and I would enjoy hearing your options on what you feel the giver is about.

I believe it's about a society that wants equality, but doesn't realize that they were already equal in the first place. And I don't know if you know this or not, but there's actually sequels to the book. I haven't checked them out myself, but I'm sure you'd be interested.
