1: By the late 1600's, Terra had achieved a long sought after peace. In Europa, The Germanic Confederation and Slavic Union had signed the peace of Warsaw, ending the Great Easterm War. The Frankish Kingdom was the center of a new, quickly growing power. The Britons and Spaniards had went from fighting for land to competing over shipping rights. The Holy Union had finally beat back the infidels. All was good in the world.
In the East, the Great Khanate had fallen to civil wars, lasting over thirty years between the two powerful nations of Xin'Wei and Yamato-Songun. The Central Asiatic Mainland had been occupied by the imperialist nations, but now the wars were over.
For now...
War is coming.....coming with new technology, brought from the west: Guns and canon; Ships and machines; foreign gods and ideals. These plagued the Kingdom of Xin'Wei, which for so long has been the bastion of ancient society. In the north, however, the Songun Khans were openly embracing the West. A war seemed inevitable....
2: After the great contact, it was decided that humanity must look towards the stars. Her resources were quickly depleting, and contact with a mysterious alien force had motivated the UN to start placing colonies on other worlds. In West Africa, the UNSC had established a new capitol in the megacity of Great Timbuktu, and was actively recruiting.
They had established a special school, where outstanding students from all over the world would be sent to train and undergo a military education, for the greater good of humanity. One squad, in particular, had a very special mission...
3: It's been 25 years since the great war. It tore the world apart, wiping out billions in a single night....
The world's government, unable to agree over such stupid things as politics and religion, plunged the world into the great nuclear terror that still endures today.
We live in one of the few remaining safe lands....all around us are the ashlands; the wasteland; the dark world, the remnants of our world. Disbanded and dilapidated cities, some of the buildings still burning from the bombs dropped so long ago, it's people deformed and corrupted with the dark energy that came.
Terra Roma is our homeland, and we must defend it. Armed with pre-war weaponry, as well as the powers given to us by the bomb-matter, we must protect our people from the betrayed...at any cost.
So, these are three different backstories I've created for three different stories, so which one do you think had the most potential or detail? Now, I do have a plot done out for them, but I don't think I should really do all of these, but I'm stuck on deciding.
