1 Name: Panther !/Ube37sWcw : 2016-02-21 17:07 ID:21LaC1Sl [Del]

I can't believe this thread hasn't been made yet! Anyways, what are your favorite things to make or eat when there's pretty much nothing in the house? List them off with their recipes.

Here are mine:

1. Gnocchi/some other pasta, plus shaved cheese and olive oil
2. Grilled cheese
3. A bagel with cream cheese and pine nuts
4. Cereal and milk

Green olives and peanut butter go surprisingly well together, even more so with cheddar cheese and a cracker.

4) starve until the next day

i use a site called myfridgefood.com you check off what you have in your fridge/pantry and it gives you recipes that you can try... some recipes are really stupid though.. if you say you have bread, it will give you a recipe for toast... toast?!! besides that, i find it useful

... My family has this thing called "Pacham". Short for Pachamba, or something you made out of luck. The recipe?

Anything... From fishj to canned food to rice to bread baked... yeah. XD

But to help, if you've got some canned food and egg, you put them together and put it between two buns. Tastes good enough and it's a lot cheaper than going out... usually.

I like to spread butter-salt mixture on a random slice of bread, grill it on a pan, and then spread honey on it. If there's no honey then sugar and ketchup. If there's no sugar and ketchup, I just eat it plain. XD

I am form the UK and it's funny when I read Grilled Cheese sounds nasty like you are using a big lump of Cheese and Grilling it, I know it's the USA name for "cheese on toast" but over here we have another for it name in Welsh is "rarebit"

mine would be "pita bread in a cheese on toast style" making like a mini pizza :P

I hope you mean when there's almost nothing and nothing. cause if you can make something out of nothing you'd be a god! Lol anyways when there's almost nothing in the house I usually:

Search my fringe for any kind of meat (Whether its Packaged ham, Sausage, turkey, bacon, or just some leftovers from a previous meal. I mean ANY) And heat it up (Microwave, oven, or stove, whatever you prefer).
Chances are you have some form of potatoes left in the house, cook it if it's cook-able and done. You have a meal. It may not be the healthiness meal but you won't be hungry.

Hmm... Depends on what's left, isn't it? I can usually whip up instant noodles, or fried eggs, or toast, or sandwiches of some sort, or, in more desperate times, mixed vegetables with butter.

hm... well, I like a toasted bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon... if there are red onions, then I'll put that on as well... call me high maintenance, but it's good. XD
